Yup. Every minute of that workout sucked. But it does feel pretty damn good to be done now 💀 I snoozed for about 45 minutes before getting started and then walked around my room eating crackers in my underwear to put it off a little longer (LOL). Some people workout because they like it + find a release... I work out because I know it’s good for my body. I make it a part of my daily routine like brushing my teeth + getting dressed (I don’t really like doing those things either 🤦🏽♀️). Choosing to get it done is the hardest part! Day 10 / 21 ✔️

Exactly what I needed to start this day off right. I am so ready for this cold to be gone and to be able to workout again. I miss working out and I miss seeing my results! I've decided that I am going to start my program on Saturday no matter what. I'm trying to rest (while working 3 jobs lol) as much as I can until then. Hope you are doing well!

It is not going to be easy and people will try to get in your way. Yes, I am an ETSU weightlifter and a lot of grief has been thrown our way. I am tired of worrying about what people think of me and basing my decisions off of them.
Pushing those negative voices out of my head and getting into the zone is the hardest part of being an athlete. That is what I choose to focus on and that is what has gotten me stronger post surgery. The mental game is what separates those who give up and those who keep pushing forward.

So, I'm getting ready for the day, my workout is done and everyone is still asleep, and I pause to think how great I feel!! I turned off my alarm when it woke me at 530 but knew I'd feel so much better all day if I just got up and did my 30 minute workout! Plus, that great feeling would turn into confidence as I am speaking in front of a large group today and those who know me know I'm not a fan of speaking in small groups let alone large ones!!
It's easy to get into a slump and just go through the motions of the day. It's not easy (at first) to do a little extra and improve the day. I get it... especially as a Mom! Our lives are dedicated to our family. Between the girls schedules and a baby that doesn't sleep through the night, it's not easy....but it's SO worth it!
