Essential oils are so amazing and versatile! They benefit so many different areas of life! Besides general health and wellness they take care of some serious health issues, and they also help with less serious things like cellulite. 👍😄😊
My favorite trick is to add some cypress and grapefruit oils to my unscented doTERRA lotion and apply all over my legs. ☺️

Grapefruit is amazing for cleansing cells of toxins, which helps to reduce the size of fat cells. This is because your body wants to insulate toxins inside of fat. Getting rid of those toxins will help to reduce the amount of fat your body thinks it needs. Grapefruit is wonderful to add to your drinking water for these cleansing purposes as well! 💦😃
Using these two oils consistently will improve your skin tone and reduce the appearance of cellulite. You can also do a roller bottle or make a spray. 😊

Can I just you how much I love Basil for muscle spasms?! It seriously works to calm and relax my muscles and is just awesome! 🙌🙌 . .
When I need extra support, I layer with these, applying Basil first, then deep blue rub, followed by Copaiba & Frankincense. Basil has antispasmodic properties making it ideal for this. Deep Blue Rub is amazing for providing targeted support to muscle aches and strains, while Copaiba & Frankincense help to soothe inflammatory and irratated muscles. This also works well for those occasional “Charlie Horses” we all get from time to time! .

I also realized how prone I’ve always been to think that breakfast is a “sweet” meal, because I’ve been craving veggie burgers and salty foods in the am lately, but telling myself “those are for later in the day.” Lesson learned, though, now that I have realized this... so next time I’m craving “lunch for breakfast” that is what will happen! This meal though... this one always hits the spot💙 Are you a salt or savory breakfast person!?

‘a wise man ought to realize that health is his most valuable possession’ -Hippocrates // I promised myself at the start of this year that I would dedicate more of my energy towards my own personal health and well-being. mostly, this has looked like slowing down, practicing what I preach, and asking for help when I don’t have all of the answers myself. I carry a lot of tension in my right shoulder and finally tried cupping after a gentle nudge from my acupuncturist, someone I have learned to trust and go to for advice in recent months. you can see that the darkest circle represents the spot where I experience the most discomfort, representing stagnation and a build up of tension. it didn’t hurt at all, in fact it felt really good, and I immediately felt pain dissipate. what have I been so afraid of all this time? today I am grateful for wisdom I don’t yet possess and for a resilient body that has so much to teach me still. health is our most valuable possession, indeed.
My younger self would be appalled at how often I rely on dry shampoo😂 Showering with CFS is the ultimate self care because it’s just so hard. Hallelujah I feel so much better 💫💫💫

Hands down couldn’t go past this photo! Although at the time I was going through a really rough patch, I felt absolutely amazing during this shoot; it was actually my very first one! I love this photo of myself, not because of how I look in it, but because of how it makes me feel when I look at it. It’s exactly how I picture my ’positive self’ in my mind, but my ’negative self’ tricks me into feeling like this isn’t the real me. I’m so motivated to improve my mindset when I look at this photo… I don’t want this version of myself to only exist only in my head, I want to truly feel like the person I see myself as & not be held back by any negativity created in my head. I know that deep down this is the real & true me, she’s just got some shit to overcome first💪🏽💭✨

Last weekend we hiked over giant sand dunes, from our Campground, down to the beach. We brought a picnic, and of course, I brought my oils! Since we were hiking over a mile, with my heavy camera pack, I only brought a few oils. These are my hiking staples! 👉Motivate - because sometimes I need a little help when I'm hiking! When I have classes for my Homeschool students, I often put out books and items to share (this week aloe plants) for my students parents. In class I taught my kids about healing with native plants, how to harvest plants, and so much more. We made sun tea with the herbs, leaves and flowers. Some harvested in nature some grown in my garden with the kids. We also made sage bundles for a gift for the holidays. “Aren’t they great?!” I could tell instantly he did not think they were *great*. “Don’t wear those” he said, “people will stare at you.” I said “who cares?!” He shot back “I DO! You’ll embarrass me walking around like that.” It was my birthday, and I’d had these leggings custom made. I remember sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at the tops of my legs thinking “what’s wrong with me?” And then, quietly crying, I changed. My clothes, my dignity, my confidence. I changed.
We’re constantly told that our bodies aren’t good enough. That past a certain imaginary and often unrealistic point, we should be ashamed of ourselves and accept that others are ashamed of us too. But it’s a lie. A big, big lie. Your existence is not intended to bring someone else comfort. Your body is not a decoration for some person to parade around, to be ashamed of, or proud of. You are autonomous, you are worthy, you are not an embarrassment. If anyone ever tells you otherwise, then they are the weak and broken one, love, not you. And you know, it took me a while... and a lot of unpacking, but I changed back into these leggings, and back into my confidence.
P.s. I forgive the fragile masculinity that tried to hold me down. But I’ll never forget.
