Oats and coffee kickstart fueling my body for an early morning bike ride, and my passion for riding fuels my motivation.
What you do is completely different from why you do. Rise this morning and remember why you do what you do, and put your day/week/year into perspective. Have a great day!
"The joy is in the #journey ." It's #traveltuesday and it's my 4yr anniversary as a professional #writer . On this day in 2013, I received notice that my first piece would be published in September of that year, which turned out to be a birthday present for me! Journey to Lhasa: Day 5 - 天下第一道班
Yesterday was a recovery day. Body starting to feel much better. As I was taking the pace of the journey down. I got to capture more interesting moments which I didn't pay attention to in the last few days.
Used all my energy to get up to the highest point of this journey - 唐古拉山囗 5231m cycling, pushing and walking, demonstrated all the tricks that I have got.
On the 10km downhill highway, it could well be the highlight of this journey; 5000+ peaks on the left and endless meadows on the right. It was incredible.
Trusted another cyclists who came from the opposite direction that I met on top of the mountain who said 20km to the destination, so indeed I counted exactly 20km on the way down.
However, by the end of 20km I stood helpnessly looking around. I ended up in the middle of nowhere with no hostels or anything within sight, then soon I realised I passed the destination 12km... There I stood helpnessly in the middle of nowhere... #adventure#expedition#travel#explore#cycling#bicycle#mountainbiking#nature#highaltitude#Tibet
