NEW BELT WHO DIs?! Reverse order again. I look bloated af today. 🤷‍♀️ Tried weighted push-ups with 25lbs and only got 15 but I had done weighted dips (3 sets of 10 with 10lbs) and bench so was tired. And forgot 3 sets of wide grip pull ups.

🌞skwatz were 165x5, 175x5, 165x5 all paused. Working on knees but they are looking so much better. Hopefully paused are good enough. I could've gone heavier buuuut wanna have room to grow .
🌞bench was 110x5, 115x5,120x4 paused. Again hopefully pauses were long enough. Missed the 5th rep of 120 bec butt came off the bench. Did another set of 115x5 tng after .

With 15 weightclasses lifting at the World's over the space of a week, it was difficult to keep up with all the news. So now we're working our way back through all the results, starting with the men's 66kg.

Reigning champion Sergey Gladkikh (RUS) won the title again this year, beating Sawyer Yandell's (USA) squat world record of 249kg from the Junior 66's a few days prior - hitting 250kg. He also extended his total world record from 670kg to 680kg.

Taking home the silver medal was Stephen Cascioli (CAN). After missing his opening squat for depth and having to adjust the game plan from there, he didn't get the opportunity to have a crack at the squat world record. Stephen went on to not have his best day at the office (by his standards) totalling 642.5kg.

In third place was Alexander Kolbin (RUS). The second Russian lifter in the top three, Sergey is a seasoned equipped 59kg equipped competitor. With weight gain on his side, Alexander is making inroads for the 66kg class and is a lifter to lookout for in the future.

#throwbacktuesday ? 🤔 Neben dem Heben wurde in #DASGYM natürlich auch die kniebeugen trainiert, da ich vom netten Andy Pürzel beim ersten mal noch eine Freikarte erhielt. Training wurde gut genutzt^^ beuge aktuell seeehr leicht, ohne gürtel oft und nachdem Wettkampf waren ~130kg das bisher schwerste Gewicht. Habe mich gut gefühlt und bin nach den Beltless Sets noch hochgegangen auf 2x3@8-9 mit Belt^^ Kraft scheine ich trotz Diät und 3-4kg weniger bisher nicht eingebußt zu haben^^ technik geht aber noch besser, fand die Kadenz aus leicht zu langsam, aber kommt, wenn man lang nicht über 80% beugt^^ danach noch aus Spielerei eine Paused Single gemacht. 5KG Increase over my old PB. 
The focus these last 3 months was progressive overload (increasing volume/weight over time) and hardly ever working to complete failure. Also some tweaks here and there to my technique to ensure a safe lift and as much stability as possible. 
Pretty proud of this new found strength!

Last #benchpress session called for a single with 280lbs and I felt like this moved great!

However, with that being said, in these 8 weeks of training I've felt healthy except for (of course) today when I had an elbow tendonitis or some other bullshit flare up in my left elbow (hence the need for the red SlingShot compression cuff) which caused some hesitation/lack of confidence in the lift. I tried to follow up with the programmed 270x3x2 and got through 1.5 sets before the pain was too great 😕

Time to rest up for my upcoming #PEAKWEEK and smash some goals next week!

Really good session with @blgstrength today. I was feeling really pumped after watching @theipf worlds this week. 
Squats with 160 for some very easy 5s. Flats feel very good, I'm chuffed with how these were moving. 
I followed this with 117.5kg bench for 5x5, which also moved very well.

High bar squats today as working sets to give my shoulders a break. Shown is 175kg/385lbs for a set of 7 feeling decent but again showing bar tilt and stuff - pretty annoying. Prior to this was 165kg/363lbs 1x8 and 155kg/341lbs 1x9.

120KG (3X2) So it's official. I am no longer competing in the U63kg class. Being 5ft 7' and trying to diet back down to 63kilo is possible but isn't worth it. I value my life, my training, my total, and my mental health. In the past year I've doubled my squat from 60kg to 120kg, I may be the weakest U72 lifter at nationals this year but I'm okay with that. I'm 24 and the aim for me is to be in this sport for long time.
