Only 7/9 things went as planned last night 😂77% and I'm Asian so that's like so disrespectful to my ancestors. Parents will probably disown me soon after seeing this vid. In all seriousness though, yesterday was a blast. I'm at home and in my element whenever I'm under the bar. Even more so when I'm on the platform. Got to lift alongside some of my best friends in da world and even made some new ones. Thanks for making this day a blast fam. Now to prep for States! Best part of this is when announcer man says "Juan Stays Alive!" after my 3rd bench as I would have bombed out had I not made that lift 😅

It was Opposite Day today! You walk out the opposite way and you almost hurt yourself 🙄, If you lowbar you high bar and if you conventional you snatch grip block pull with a Brian Shaw deadlift stance 😁😅 ... also I used bumpers because I was trying to be a weight lifter 🏋️. ________________________________ high bar squats 225x12@6/235x12@7/245x12@8 // snatch grip DL off a block 225x12@RPE6/255x12@RPE7.5/8 /firstname.lastname@example.org/9 over shot the RPE but this exercise is really hitting my week points! Trying to have that flat back! The hit some accesories!

My first meet from two weeks ago. 535 total and a couple British u18 and u16 records. Placed 1st in the men's 83kg and set a pb squat. Perfect for my first meet
Goal for the British is a 5️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ total.
Anyone who knows me can testify that I'm a creature of habit; the consequence is that I suck at dealing with change. Recently I've been practicing being comfortable with uncomfortable through training in different gyms, at different times of day, with different bars, without headphones etc. The theory being that at competition all these extraneous variables are not controllable, and in life circumstances are rarely 'optimal'. Hey :) Mein 3. Wettkampf dieses Jahr, auch insgesamt, ist um. Die deutsche Meisterschaft. Ca. 6 Wochen nach dem @insanitypowerlifting war dieses Wochenende in Chemnitz DM. Es lief nicht so gut ich hatte 2 mal falsche calls von den Kampfrichtern beim drücken. Das kommt vor es sind schließlich auch nur menschen,hatte mich dennoch geärgert. Und beim kreuzheben musste ich dann auch noch nach dem 2. Attempt kotzen 🤢. Aber habe es noch auf Klo geschafft. 😅 Insgesamt alles etwas unglücklich aber dennoch ein 5. Platz mit 542,5. Ich habe viel gelernt und es waren klasse Athleten am Start! Ein paar Sachen sind von Seiten des #bvdk sicherlich noch verbesserungswürdig, gerade, wenn von Athleten Perfektion erwartet wird, so sollte auch die DM sich daran halten. Aber trotzdem ein sehr interessanter Wettkampf und ich freue mich aufs nächste Jahr.
Besonders stark waren meines Erachtens die Ergebnisse von @julia.kunzner.powerlifting und @powerliftinglauch! Herzlichen Glückwunsch euch nochmal! Auch alle anderen haben super Leistung gezeigt und alles gegeben!
Nächstes Jahr dann mit voller Power dabei!

New post ➡️ 2017 USAPL Raw Nationals Day 5 Results: Women's 84kg, 84kg+ & Men's 105kg
Bryce Lewis won the 105kg class with an 890kg American record total matching Krzysztof Wierzbicki's world record. He was followed by Garrett Blevins in second who dramatically passed out after attempting a third deadlift, and Eli Burks, who missed a 385kg pull which would have given him the win.
In the women's 84kg class, Daniella Melo took the win, narrowly missing out on a new American record/unofficial world record squat of 207.5kg, as a big battle for silver medal went down.
Meanwhile, Bonica Lough won the 84kg+ class with an unofficial world record squat, bench and total. She also attempted a world record deadlift alongside LeeAnn Hewitt and Sarah Brenner.

Fantastic session to kick off the week with @powerliftingmark today.
195kg/429lbs squats for 5x5, which is a PB. Moved really well, had to bring some intensity to these.
Then bench with a PB at 125kg/275lbs! Really happy with this as I moved back out to a wider grip today. Smolov clearly worked very well. Improvements to be made if I want to edge closer to that 140kg/308lbs mark.
