Technically imperfect in so many ways, hence the black and white, but such a cool moment I had to share. This hawk made a couple of passes above me at 11,000 feet, gliding so peacefully. I was in the mindset of landscape photography so none of my settings were right. Maybe next time...
Last week we had a chance to focus on birds, and worked towards documenting over 200 species at Finca las Piedras. We also explored a couple areas around the property. One of the neatest finds was a grassy wetland we dubbed "sadwater pond"(swipe to see) as the rains have yet to fill it. Our team documented the habitual presence of paradise jacamars in this area(credit to @e._iversonii for the first spot!) the sharp edge between the forest and the marsh providing great habitat for this rare bird. We hope this sketch by @musingsofjoe conveys the excitement of seeing these birds well! #birdwatching#ebird#biodiversity#birdlife#birding#birddrawing#illustration#sciart#ornithology#neotropics#bird_lovers_daily#bird_brilliance
So these guys think they own the creek and often have a lot to say when the paparazzi cruise past, I don't know what they are saying but I have a feeling thats it not complementary . We paparazzi are often talked about in such a derogatory terms but we bring you the goss on the clebs and keep it real.
We talk to Days of the Daintree beauty about living in paradise . " Oh i just love it here, while most of my friends and family have headed back south for summer, not yours truly I'm a tropical girl through and through '. "Every winter my family flies up North to visit and well it's quite a relief when they all go home, I get to just be myself again' . And do you think you'll ever head down south? ....'Absoultley not, I live in paradise and I'm not going anywhere....' . Sacred Kingfisher.
