Hey everyone, this is Mina! My grandpa's mynah bird. She was rescued 6 years ago from a bad owner who neglected her so much that should could barely walk when we got her.
While everyone in the family adores her, she loves grandpa much more than everybody else. This is what she does every morning before grandpa goes to work: giving him kisses and saying good bye to him and waiting right at the door!
In the evening, she again comes back at this door and waits for him until he comes back and she welcomes him with kisses.
She loves him so much that she never flies away when they go outside together. She just sits on his shoulder, even though she knows how to fly.
When he goes on trips and can't take her with him, she completely becomes depressed and stops talking to everybody else. It's like she has only one special place in her heart and grandpa has already taken it 😉

The common blackbird is a medium sized songbird commonly found throughout Europe. The male birds have a distinct black colour, with a yellow bill and yellow eyering. The females and juveniles have mainly dark brown plumage.
Blackbirds are a common sight in urban areas, especially within gardens and city parks. Despite this, the blackbird is a fairly timid species and is far less bold than the European robin.
The common blackbird is omnivorous, eating a wide range of insects, earthworms, seeds and berries. It feeds mainly on the ground, running and hopping in a start-stop motion.
This is exactly what this male bird was doing when I spotted him amongst some newly planted rose bushes in my local park. He was bouncing between the young plants, looking for insects that had been unearthed amongst the recently disturbed soil. It was quite hard to capture a sharp image as he was constantly on the move and kept disappearing behind leaves. However, as usually is the case with photography, patience paid off and the male bird paused for a second, lifted his head and I was able to snap this nice, sharp image.
