The Observer is the Observed ( The Hoodie Series )
Inspired by my conversations and reflections with two intelligent artist @brandonxwatson and Darron. Every interaction would have this synchronized energy as if we're suppose to meet at particular times to have such conscious raising experiences. For every truth and perspective brought forth the more I became aware that we were reflecting each other, observing as well as being observed. When you turn the painting horizontally you can see that face is creating an eye representing that relationship of being both the observer and observed. I thank you both for those experiences for they have been an asset to my growth personally and as an artist 🙏🏾🙏🏾. For those that I have been following the series I cannot wait to show the merchandise line apart of this series once the details have been sorted out #staytuned 😏
Liberals today mostly view racism not as an active, distinct evil but as a relative of white poverty and inequality. They ignore the long tradition of this country actively punishing black success."
It's taking me forever to get through this book. It's so dense. I have so many stories of white liberals resenting me whenever I outdid them. They want "equality," but not when it means superseding them, on a personal level. This was disappointing, as I thought these particular people were my friends. But I soon realized they were most comfortable when I wasn't. The art of @madelynnmaegreen in the background. Sorry I haven't been posting much. Have been busy with work and other things 😔.
@Regranned from @thatsharveyson - My two favorites... The Locs Queens. There’s a 3rd but she’s out right now. They have a presence like no other.. they will make you get right with yourself. Looking at them everyday has turned me into a reflection of them. Couldn’t help it. Get one yourself if you don’t believe me..
