The photo on the left was taken six years ago when I was actually some what "fit". I ran, I did push ups, I lifted weights, and boxed, but yet ate anything I wanted and still couldn't beat high blood pressure. I was accused recently of starving myself. That will NEVER be life nor have I EVER had that struggle. I realize food is my fuel. My leanness and muscle gain is gained honestly with passion and hard work. As an older black woman, I can not afford to eat the way I use to if I want to live longer than my dad or grandmother did. High blood pressure and diabetes runs deep in my family and I made the choice to change my future. These diseases come to us because we pass down our bad eating habits to our children and they pass it to their children. It's a dominos effect! I am here as an example to all women that we can eat better and be lean without starvation. So to the ignorant comment....I am proud of my body. I do not desire to be thick for ANY man to find me beautiful!! I am who I am!! I'm me! If any one feels I'm too muscular or small...look away. I'm healthy and I love me some me! Ladies make a choice to be healthy for yourself. Do not allow any man make you feel bad about losing weight the healthy way for your HEALTH! Do not let any man tell you you're too skinny or too big. Make life choices for yourself because this is your life. You came in this world alone, you will leave alone...so make the choice on your OWN.
There's levels to this ish 💯😂
The brokest I have been was the summer going into sophomore year of college. I had no money, no job, and I was on campus in Shepherdstown WV. Thank God for the good folks working at sheetz that looked out because your boy couldn't afford tissues to cry into 😭🙌🏾 #NeverWouldHaveMadeIt

When you're in the middle of a set, what's going through your mind? Are you simply trying to force out as many reps as you can? Are you simply going through the motions, throwing around weight? You probably don't realize it, but you're missing out on one of the most important secrets to "GAINZ" success, the Mind-Muscle Connection
▶️Mind-Muscle connection is when you concentrate on lifting the weight with JUST the muscle you are working. Ex: if you are working out glutes, focus lifting using your GLUTE muscles and not your Quadriceps
▶️Slow down your reps, focus, and it will cause greater tension and metabolic stress; which leads to the main objective...muscle growth💪🏾😁
