My farm should really be called blue jay acres. We have a lot of blue jays that live on our farm. I have only found one of these tiny blue jay feathers before, so imagine my surprise when I found 3! Ultimately some poor fella lost his life where I found them but I still feel lucky with the wind blowing! These feathers can travel! Hope you get to find something special today! .
(A Blue Jay in Grainy Film.) 💙
Blue Jay in the Winter.
Searching for a bite to eat,
as the frigid air blows.
Chirping your sweet song,
as pure as a crystal stone.
On a cruel, cold day,
you raise the mood.
For blue is the warmest color.
Birds are the sound of nature.
And jay is to rejoice.
Your prints upon the fallen snow.
You leave a trail behind.
You’ve brought soft, kind, bright, — delight.
Resonated truth, faithfulness, and solidarity.
Symbolized endurance, patience, and loyalty.
Vigilant and fearless in all your tasks.
Speaking of clarity and vision.
And that must be why we call you — Blue Jay.
Warm and rejoiceful.

I've never excelled in art or had any formal training (beyond grade school), but I recently felt compelled to try sketching my sweet Alex. I thought we'd have so much time together. I didn't even take many photos. #bluejay#missyou
