Left over from my August visit to Moscow. The ALEXANDROVSKY GARDEN (Александровский сад), a large public park right in the heart of Moscow, at the Kremlin walls.
The park is really beautiful with its pools, fountains and statues. The statue in this photo illustrates characters of the famous Russian fairytale in verse written by Alexander Pushkin, THE FISHERMAN AND THE FISH. It's about an old poor fisherman who manages to catch a magic Golden Fish that promises to grant three wishes in exchange for its freedom.
"A well-ordered life is like climbing a tower; the view halfway up is better than the view from the base, and it steadily becomes finer as the horizon expands." ~ William Lyon Phelps
a favourite shot from the dozens taken yesterday.
A picture hardly seems to do this place justice ....
