Struggle bus tonight. After Monday’s deadlifts my hip’s been bothering me more than it has been of late. Flexors are tight, lots of pinching. Added another 10lbs to try and keep rebuilding my squat anyhow - wasn’t great but got through it.

Today we’re doing barbell front squats with some pit squats. This machine is so cool but definitely not meant for shorties like me!😭 need to put some plates under my feet next time ☝🏼 this machine is great because it takes some pressure off of your back so you can focus more on going heavier💪🏻
The difference is I find joy in the journey and peace in the chaos. Others keep seeking for some sort of "destination" in the journey and for no chaos along the way. You know what’s something that pushes me to keep grinding and showing up every day even though sometimes it’s the last place I wanna be? 👉🏼 Acting like in every single moment that matters most, show up like I am MEANT to be there. Seriously, it just changes my entire way of thinking.
How many times have you said to yourself “I wish I didn’t have to be here right now” or “I don’t NEED to do this today”? Let’s take working out as an example. Now, I’m not trying to go all military mindset on you and tell you that you need to get in a workout every day and you’re making excuses otherwise. I’m talking about when it comes to the goals you set for yourself.
It’s easy to make excuses and half ass something. It’s easy to pull yourself out of a commitment you made to yourself and say “oh it’s just one day, there is always tomorrow”. Before you allow that thought to cross your mind, I challenge you to instead stop and think to yourself “I have the privilege of working out today. I have this opportunity right now to follow through with working towards my goal.” Change your perspective and tell yourself that you are supposed to be there. It’s incredible the power the mind has on our outlook and our attitudes. Try incorporating this into your own life, if this resonates with you, and see if you notice a difference in your mindset this week ✨💜💆🏽♀️

I think everyone reaches a continuous point in which we realize the circumstances we’ve been in growing up and through life in general cannot act as a set of guidelines. Those barriers fade once coming to the conclusion that we are not victims but survivors; someone who can endure and endlessly strive for greatness. A survivor knows that the roads to success have no end point. They know that there’s more than one route to success, and solely moves forward as they know going back would only diminish potentially bringing their vision to life.
