Every once in awhile I find myself in the unfortunate situation of having to set a boundary with someone close to me. It’s always tough because you want to be everything for the people you care for, but at the same time I think it’s so important to recognize your own value and be everything you need for yourself too. When I’m in this situation, I always practice being honest without being harmful or hurtful. I find if I honour my intentions to protect myself and protect whoever I’m setting the boundary with from feeling hurt, I come out okay.

When I started this business, I never wanted to be part of the traditional "diet" industry. You know, the one that thrives on making women feel inferior so they'll buy a product in hopes of making themselves acceptable.... Except that it's a vicious cycle that leaves us still feeling less than" as we chase that next new purchase to fill the void. It's atrocious. 🙅🏼 This is why I focus on strength gained, quality of life improved, more so than weight lost, with my clients. Staying obsessed with that number on the scale is a trap. We want to focus on anything but mindset, and keep tinkering with the superficial, but the real work, and the key to true freedom, lies inside. 💖✨ I hope when you see a picture of me, or of anyone, that your first thought is not to compare yourself. But if it is... if you're stuck playing that comparison game and never measuring up... let's break free together. This is my journey for this season of life... Will you walk with me? Tonight I was casually going through my old Humber performance videos and was absolutely shocked at how much I've changed. Every photo I've taken since I was a teenager I've made sure to carefully angle my body and add filters so as to hide my "true figure." When you're on video though, nothing can be hidden. It's all there. That's why throughout my Humber experience I always hated watching myself on tape. I always hated how I looked.
As some of you know, I've been cycling for Uber Eats these last few months and that's really helped me trim down. I didn't realize how much so until tonight when looking at those old videos.
Healthy eating has always been apart of my lifestyle- heck, I'm vegan. But that can only go so far. I was really bad at pushing myself at the gym. I'd work out, but I made it easy.
I wasn't planning on posting a #beforeandafter photo today, but alas, here we are.
From now on I'm going to try to love the body I'm in, and really push myself. #bodylove
