So tomorrow (Wednesday) I'm doing this thing at 7pm. It would be great if you came because it helps to bring lightness to your life and relieve frustration and you might even get clarity on how to move through some blocks. We will have fun together too 🙏🏻 the thing is called Kundalini Yoga. It's in Estero at The Club at Rapallo starts at 7pm. It only cost $10. I think you might like it. Sincerely, me .

The band or barbell good morning is a great way to strengthen and/or grow the hamstrings and glutes.
The issue with this movement, however, is that it's not as easy to grove the hip hinge (max hip bend/min knee bend/no back bend) as the deadlift or Romanian deadlift variations. The weight or loading on the shoulders makes this movement a bit more important that you keep strict technique.
Here are a couple issues I see with folks trying to perform a good morning.
Top left - While the good morning can certainly strengthen the lower back, it is not an exercise designed specifically for that goal. With the load on your back, think of your position as you would a back squat with the lats tight and upper back locked in. When you sit back into your hips, the spine should stay neutral, unlike this photo and more like the one on the right.
Bottom left - Again, this exercise fits into the hip hinge category. To truly hammer the hamstrings, glutes, and the rest of the posterior chain, we must understand that the hinge is not a squat. A squat is a squat. It is both maximum knee bend and maximum hip bend. Here in the pic, notice I have too much knee flexion for a hinge. Although my spine looks good, the hips are unable to move back effectively.
Right - Here is a well executed good morning. My upper back is tight which keeps me from bending through my spine. My knees are soft, not bent, yet not locked out completely. Most importantly, my hips sit far back so my hamstrings and butt can encounter the most tension and activation.

Do you know that Naples, Florida was ranked as the happiest and healthiest city in the US in 2016? Naples residents love to look and feel good. We have over 100 golf courses, many tennis facilities, pickleball, bocce, beach volleyball clubhouse s and parks with walking trails. Our active downtown areas encourage people to park their cars and get out and walk. And did you know that many neighborhoods have state-of-the art wellness centers? This photo was taken at Grey Oaks' new 30,000 square foot wellness center that offers weight training, cardio machines, pilates, spin and aerobics studios, 60+ classes per week including TRX and Barre, physical therapy, NCH run health clinic, massage therapists and more. With all of this it's no surprise that many Grey Oaks residents are staying here longer and longer each year.

I want to wish you all a warm welcome back and take the time to introduce myself – I am Nicole Mamprejew, President of the FGCU Cancer Research Program. Thank you all for taking interest in our organization, although we are in our infancy, we have accomplished quite a lot and I hope all of you take part in achieving further accomplishments with us this year.
First and foremost, I want to provide some information on meetings. This year we will be meeting on a consistent basis – meetings will be held bi-weekly on Mondays. The time and location will be sent after the Add/Drop date, once our reservation is finalized. At these meetings you can anticipate updates, opportunities to get involved, as well as enriching workshops, including a Q&A panel for graduate school and medical school, a resume workshop, a lesson on what cancer is, a stress workshop, and some speakers, including a local doctor.
To quickly bring you all up to speed on what was accomplished over the summer, we developed a cancer education outreach program, received a major monetary donation, and formed the foundation for a successful academic year! The cancer education outreach program consists of two parts; we created a curriculum we will be teaching to high school students this semester, as well developed a seminar to teach to an older population. If you would like to get involved with this, there will be more information at our first meeting. As for the donation – a local business, B&I Contractors, generously donated to our organization, and we are anticipating other donations from the community that include lab supplies, so keep an eye out for updates!
If you have questions, suggestions, or know people who may be interested in joining, please do not hesitate to contact me! I look forward to working with you all this year, and please stay tuned for further information on meeting times and dates.
