@unicorncrate November box came in !! **Swipe for spoilers**
How cute is the pouch the book comes in now!?!? As always I get super excited when I see my @unicorncrate come in but as soon as the Post man handed me my box I heard a rattle !
Even with the fragile sticker on it the box was poorly handled.
Such a pretty mug by @catarinadesigns but unfortunately the handle was shattered in pieces and there were little glass pieces all over everything else in the box .. I thought the candle was broken as well since it was making a *clink* noise as well but thankfully it was just the lid came undone ... #books#bookish#bookbox#unicorncrate#subscriptionbox ##bookishcandles#bookstagram#bookmarks#booklovers#bookblogger#bookish#bookishmug#unicorn#bookstagram
"But you, Helene Aquilla, are no swift-burning spark. You are a torch against the night - if you dare to let yourself burn." - Sabaa Tahir, A Torch Against the Night // oof this book was absolutely amazing, it has left in an utter wreck and yearning for the next book
Book mail!! Thanks to @crownpublishing for this wonderful surprise (and the accompanying chalk - but after reading the book’s blurb I don’t think I’ll be drawing any stick figures! 😳). I look forward to reading this suspenseful debut! Look for it on shelves January 9, 2018!
Good Morning from the Philippines 💕
QOTD: What will you do if your alarm clock didn't rang?
Mine didn't today. And I have a 7 am class. I woke up at 6:17 with 30 minutes commute. If you do the math, I'm late.😭
I never thought I have an ability to take shower for just 3 minutes
#nanowrimo update| 39k! And all I need is to write a minimum of 1500 to finish in time or even earlier. Good job me!
Hope your day won't suck or not as much bad than mine 💕
Thank you @theopenbookshelf for the #spellthemonthinbooks tag. I was very tempted to just post a pic of #November9 because I'm lazy and #November is really hard to spell with books 🙈😂 However I persevered and it turned out okay 📚 Got some of my favourite books in this pile! ✨💛 .

I thought I'd share a funny story for anyone who needs a bit of joyfulness in their lives from a somewhat socially awkward gal.
As some of you know, I work in a bookstore, and as much as I love it, we get our share of annoying customers who simply walk into the store, go to the counter, and ask for a book giving us literally no information with expectations we 'know' what they want. But anyway, this little tale happened not long ago so here you go. 🙈
Man: Do you have any books on poetry?
Me: Yes! I'll take you to our classics/poetry section.
~goes to section~
Me: We only have a small selection but these are our poetry books.
~we hover in section for a good while~
Man: This isn't quite what I'm looking for, but thanks.
Me: If there's anything in particular, we can always order it in.
Now here's the thing. He stays in the shop for awhile, I leave him be, but then this gem happens.
~on his way out of the store~
Man: Thanks, but I just needed something on building cages and things.
Guess what? He wanted books on POULTRY! Yep, I spent 10-20 mins showing chicken man books on poetry to which he didn't question anything when he just wanted to get a book about raising chickens aka poultry. Ahh I wanted to find a cave and hide. Hope my stupidity brightened your day! 😂😂

Hello @themeltinglibrary team! My name is Charli and I live in Austin, Texas! I am so excited to be applying for this rep position because my candle obsession is through the roof! I have an entire bookcase dedicated to candles 🙈 it’s safe to say that I take a lot of pictures of candles and I will post way more than 4-5 pictures a month featuring your candles! I am super passionate about candles and coming up with candle ideas because they are so fun! I love to read and research to make sure the candle ideas are as original and accurate as possible. I always give feedback on products because I want to help you create the best possible products and you can’t do that without honest feedback. Your company is a company that I believe in and fully support regardless of whether I am a rep or not. Right now, I would LOVE some more new adult candles like Royally Ruined because there aren’t that many out there representing that genre of books. I would also love some Captive Prince candles 😍 thank you so much for this opportunity and good luck to the other applicants! #TMLRepSubmissions4

•Dear World - Bana Alabed•
'A story of love and courage amid brutality and terror, this is the testimony of a child who has endured the unthinkable.' J. K. ROWLING 'I'm very afraid I will die tonight' - Bana Alabed, Twitter, 2 October 2016'Stop killing us.' - Bana Alabed, Twitter, 6 October 2016'I just want to live without fear.' - Bana Alabed, Twitter, 12 October 2016When eight-year-old Bana Alabed took to Twitter to describe the horrors she and her family were experiencing in war-torn Syria, her heartrending messages touched the world and gave a voice to millions of innocent children. Bana's happy childhood was abruptly upended by civil war when she was only three years old. Over the next four years, she knew nothing but bombing, destruction and fear. Her harrowing ordeal culminated in a brutal siege where she, her parents, and two younger brothers were trapped in Aleppo, with little access to food, water, medicine, or other necessities. Facing death as bombs relentlessly fell around them, one of which completely destroyed their home, Bana and her family embarked on a perilous escape to Turkey. In Bana's own words, and featuring short, affecting chapters by her mother, Fatemah, Dear World is not just a gripping account of a family endangered by war; it offers a uniquely intimate, child's perspective on one of the biggest humanitarian crises in history. Bana has lost her best friend, her school, her home and her homeland. But she has not lost her hope - for herself and for other children around the world who are victims and refugees of war and deserve better lives.Dear World is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit, the unconquerable courage of a child, and the abiding power of hope. It is a story that will leave you changed.

In Montréal the “Corner Store” is called “Dépanneur” or “Depp” (Like Johnny) I found this adorable café in Vieux Port called “Le Dépanneur Café”; A cozy spot filled with lots of candy & good reading nooks. Makes me want to take the day off. -b

I'm #currentlyreading The Bachelor Contract by Rachel Van Dyken (@rachvd). I'm excited to start but I'll be sad to say goodbye because The Bachelors of Arizona has been such an awesome series. I loved the first two books and have been extremely curious about Brant so I can't wait to delve into his story with Nikki. A big thank you to @foreverromancebooks for the paperback arc. The book has such a gorgeous cover!
Releases November 28: http://amzn.to/2vt1uK9
About the book:
A second-chance romance from the #1 NYT bestseller of The Bet, Matchmaker and Elite series!
Love of his life.
The last person in the world he wanted to see...ever.
And now that he's working beside her every day, he can't escape her. Her scent, glimpses of her smile, even the tension in the air that makes his body hum with the kind of need he'd only experienced with one person-all of it is driving him over the edge.
Brant Wellington was certain of three things:
Alcohol wasn't going to solve this.
He really was losing his F-ing mind.
And his gorgeous ex-wife was going to be the death of him.

I have just received this new iPhone case in the mail from #onceuponabookclubbox and I am obsessed! The phone case is inspired by one of my favorite films, Beetlejuice! I've lately been wearing more bookish and movie inspired clothing and accessories. I find it fun to be able to showcase your love for a book, tv show, film, or podcast through wearing various fandom related gear.
QOTD: Do you like to wear fandom inspired clothing or accessories?
Ahhhh! Words cannot express how excited I was when I opened a surprise book package and saw UNEARTHED. 😱 It’s one of my anticipated releases next year and I never would’ve thought that I’d be holding this book in my hands before 2018. 😭🙌🏼 Thank you so much to @disneybooks for all the bookish goodies. 🚀💙💫
—— Summary ——
When Earth intercepts a message from a long-extinct alien race, it seems like the solution humanity has been waiting for. The Undying's advanced technology has the potential to undo environmental damage and turn lives around, and their message leads to the planet Gaia, a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
For Jules Addison and his fellow scholars, the discovery of an ancient alien culture offers unprecedented opportunity for study... as long as scavengers like Amelia Radcliffe don't loot everything first. Despite their opposing reasons for smuggling themselves onto the alien planet's surface, they're both desperate to uncover the riches hidden in the Undying temples. Beset by rival scavenger gangs, Jules and Mia form a fragile alliance... but both are keeping secrets that make trust nearly impossible.
As they race to decode the ancient messages, Jules and Mia must navigate the traps and trials within the Undying temples and stay one step ahead of the scavvers on their heels. They came to Gaia certain that they had far more to fear from their fellow humans than the ancient beings whose mysteries they're trying to unravel. But the more they learn about the Undying, the more Jules and Mia start to feel like their presence in the temple is part of a grand design—one that could spell the end of the human race...

You guys...I’m FINALLY getting somewhere with A Court of Thorns & Roses! 🙈🌹 Not going to lie it’s taken me some time, compared to other books I’ve read but I’m really enjoying it & able to actually concentrate on it now that I don’t have any school worries. It’s not the book, just think I didn’t start reading it at the right time if you know what I mean. 😜Anyways, I’m hoping to finally finish it this week! 👏🏼
Tell me what are you guys currently reading? Or what are your Thanksgiving Day plans? 😊 #acotar

Mrs. Danvers has to be one of my favourite villains. I'm usually not particularly impressed by evil characters but Mrs Danvers was so intriguing and creepy. I just loved how she fit in with the gothic feel of the novel. Who are some of your favourite villains?
