& day one of switching mostly to #keto begins 😬 here's hoping dietary changes help with the #fibromyalgia ! my day is going to be spent relaxing & taking care of myself & hopefully helping this pain lessen. it's an every day battle but I'm fighting, and will keep on trying because life is worth it. & if I keep trying, I'll find something that helps. May not ever be as I was pre-fibromyalgia but I'll get some of it back, in time. & hey! I've read 169, almost 170 books due to having to rest a lot 😼. 🖖🏼💕💪🏼 #fibrowarrior#vinyladdict#vinyl#beyoncé#booklr#bookstagram
Hello, friends! Our book today is When’s My Birthday?, written by Julie Fogliano and illustrated by Christian Robinson, a fun and festive book about birthdays that asks the important questions.
When is my birthday? Where is my birthday? Is it in spring? In winter? I know there will be cake, and presents, and you can wear fancy clothes and costumes, and we’ll play games and have balloons. I’ll ask for a pony, or maybe a chicken, or maybe a bouncy ball. Oh! There will need to be candles on the cake! And chocolate! And how many days until my birthday, again?
This one was a lot of fun, and felt wonderfully fresh compared to other books about birthdays. Told in free verse, the text is simple, engaging, and fun to read, and celebrates all the best things about birthdays: food, fun, presents and friends. Robinson’s signature paper-and-paint art is as endlessly charming as always, the length is great, and JJ and I had a lot of fun with it. A delightfully contemporary book that can enjoyed year-round, but especially you-know-when. Baby Bookworm approved!

Soooo, I may have avoided every single responsibility I have in life today BUT GUESS WHO FINISHED A BOOK TODAY?! That's right ladies, gentlemen, other genders and esteemed doggos, this reader did some reading. -
It's been ages since I finished a book so please excuse the theatrics - I'm also overtired and perhaps a little mad today BUT YAY I FINISHED A BOOK! So I rewarded myself by buying two more books (secondhand makes it okay though right? <- QOTD) -
I have many responsibilities to catch up on tomorrow so I shall be back then, no doubt to whinge about my lack of success 😂😂 Sleep tight book friends (or good morning/good day/ happy un-birthday depending on where you are!)
"you call me to tell me you miss me
i turn to face the front door of the house
waiting for a knock
days later you call to say you need me
but still aren't here
the dandelions on the lawn
are rolling their eyes in disappointment
the grass has declared you yesterday's news
what do i care
if you love me
or miss me
or need me
when you aren't doing anything about it
if i'm not the love of your life
i'll be the greatest loss instead"
-Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers
SO excited to finally start on ToG, even though I KNOW I’m going to end up buying the rest of the series. Probably within the week 🙈 But Maas is Queen 👑
I was tagged by the wonderful @booklover.anewchapter to do the #topten2017 tag! (Psst go follow her 😊) I really got into reading again this year after a little hiatus and discovered a lot of goodies so it might be all over the place!

What are some of your top books from this year?
You took these starving limbs, tried to see. Tried to see what they could be, but I thought I'd be something.
I thought you'd complete me. That you'd erase all the pain that I felt in my brain if you filled my heart with love, then you'd fill my voids above.
Now you see, that didn't change a thing. — PVRIS, Empty
this is a filler pic so idc lol
#grimdragon Day 23: 'You already cut me too deep, I think I'm dying here man!' Violent Books
I always forget just how violent and dark the Hunger Games series is - it's such an incredible series but at the heart it is very violent. I might reread these soon...
Happy Monday guys! 📚

Tell me how I order this at work about a month ago and I still hasn’t it made it to the store. So I had to take matters into my own hands 👏🏼 and order it to my house instead lol. And holy beautiful ness it’s even better in real life. The only thing that sucks is how short it is 😂 my sister thought it was a sample (since we read the digital ARC). This is a beautiful story of a gardener who can see ghosts and a ghost who falls in love with said Gardner. Then, a creepy forest appears and it kinda wants the Gardner.... 👀 it’s full of color and plants and love and creepiness. All around cuteness and spoobyness, as my sister would call it.

How is everybody’s Monday going? It’s 7pm here in the UK and I’m getting ready to go to bed - I am shattered! I love my job, but training every day for three weeks has destroyed me. •
QOTD: What’s your occupation?
AOTD: I am a HCA in a CAMHS PICU ward. ☺️
Spending the rest of my day with Harry Potter, trying really hard to not start 42346 new books instead because I want to get my currently-reading below ten before the end of the year (ha haha hahahaha)
Here is to a great new week! Don't let the muggles get you down!
ʜɪɢʜ ɴᴏᴏɴ 🅑🅨 #noraroberts ➡️👮🏻♀️ Lieutenant Phoebe MacNamara found her calling at an early age when a violently unstable man broke into her family’s home, trapping and terrorizing them for hours. Now she’s Savannah’s top hostage negotiator, who puts her life on the line every day to diffuse powder-keg situations.
After watching her talk one of his employees off a roof ledge, Duncan Swift is committed to keeping this intriguing, take-charge woman in his life. Phoebe’s used to working solo, but she’s finding that no amount of negotiation can keep Duncan at arm’s length. Especially when a man throws a hood over Phoebe’s head and brutally assaults her—in her own precinct house—and threatening messages begin appearing on her doorstep. Duncan backs her up every step of the way, as she establishes contact with the faceless tormentor who is determined to make her a hostage to fear—before she becomes the final showdown.
💭 Very lengthy and kind of boring during the first half. But it gotten more interesting when the threats starts.
There’s male chauvinist 🐖 characters in the 📕 and it irritate the hell out of me.
I like Duncan. He definitely swept me off my feet! The characters are likeable well except that.
When and to where was the last vacation you took?
Another series that I've recently become obsessed with! It's so, so, so good and those Lawless boys are always making me swoon @lexi4714 😍
A big thank you to @sanzana_ubh for always helping me when I need bookstagram help and dealing with my indecisiveness in the middle of a shoot ❤️
Happy #mermaidmonday y’all. My mermaid friend says hi! 👋🏻 ••
I legit bought this kindle book cause “mermaid” but when I downloaded it to read it moved!! It’s a new type of kindle book called “kindle in motion”. Have you tried any yet?
I’m actually just here to drop off a movie recommendation😉 Just finished watching A Dog’s Purpose!!! I absolutely loved it❤️ If you love dogs and animals, THIS IS A MUST-WATCH! If you’re not a fan of dogs or animals, I think it’s still worth watching! We can learn so much from other creatures. This one will definitely teach you something about how you live/see your life and all about what makes it “worth living”☺️ I just really think it’s a great film, and I’d love you guys to check it out! One of my favorites this year! •••
QOTD: Do you have any recently watched film you’d like to recommend?😊
"What a treacherous thing to believe a person is more than a person." - John Green, Paper Towns
Good morning guys! I hope you're all having a great start to your week. My Monday involves waiting in for parcels (yes more books) and trying to avoid getting ill like everyone else in my house.
I've bought so many books this month that a haul photo might not fit them all in 🙈 But I got this beautiful book in the mix of it all and I'm very excited/nervous to read it! Have any of you read it and what did you think?🐢🐢🐢
What's a book on your TBR that you're really excited to read?
ᴘʀᴇʏ 🅑🅨 #lindahoward ➡️Thirty-two-year-old Angie Powell has always spoken her mind, but in the presence of Dare Callahan she nurses a simmering rage. Three years ago, Dare returned home to rural Montana and opened a hunting business to rival Angie’s own, forcing her to close up shop. The infuriatingly attractive Iraq war vet even had the nerve to ask Angie out, not once but twice. Before Angie leaves town, she organizes one last trip into the wilderness with a client. But the adrenaline-fueled adventure turns deadly when Angie witnesses a cold-blooded murder and finds herself on the wrong side of a gun. Then a 🐻 comes crashing through the woods—changing the dark game completely. Luckily, Dare is camping nearby and comes to her aid. Forced together for survival, Angie and Dare must confront hard feelings, a blinding storm, and a growing attraction—while a desperate killer and a ferocious five-hundred-pound beast stalk their prey.
💭 Oh my Gosh! I think I had a good 😂 📖 this 📕. There’s multiple POVs. Angie, Dare, ya.. Dare.. the bad guy and.... the 🐻! Yes! We have the 🐻 POV! We know what’s he 🤔! Isn’t that hilarious?
