Without Merit by @colleenhoover (MY FAVE)➡➡➡➡RELEASES OCTOBER 3rd!
The Voss family is anything but normal. They live in a repurposed church, newly baptized Dollar Voss. The once cancer-stricken mother lives in the basement, the father is married to the mother's former nurse, the little half-brother isn't allowed to do or eat anything fun, and the eldest siblings are irritatingly perfect. Then, there's Merit.Merit Voss collects trophies she hasn't earned and secrets her family forces her to keep. While browsing the local antiques shop for her next trophy, she finds Sagan. His wit and unapologetic idealism disarm and spark renewed life into her - until she discovers that he's completely unavailable. Merit retreats deeper into herself, watching her family from the sidelines, when she learns a secret that no trophy in the world can fix. Fed up with the lies, Merit decides to shatter the happy family illusion that she's never been a part of before leaving them behind for good. When her escape plan fails, Merit is forced to deal with the staggering consequences of telling the truth and losing the one boy she loves.

[PRIMEIRAS IMPRESSÕES] CRASH, QUANDO A PAIXÃO EXPLODE - @author_nicole_williams | @planetadelivrosbrasil

Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete? 😍 WELL NO IT’S NOT. I love my @treehouseofbooks Hey Atlas Creative collection so much - and this doesn’t even include the items that have been gifted or loved to death ☠️ (RIP a couple of bookmarks). And now Catherine is going to have BEANIES?!?! I am so excited! 🌝
QOTD: Do you have any collections?
AOTD: Outside of bookish/fandom merch... I’ve started getting cute animal plant pots! 🐶🦄
“To a bibliophile, there is but one thing better than a box of new books, and that is a box of old ones.” 📚
I’m so happy that I came across @mossandmoonau here on IG because these are some of the most beautiful smelling candles....ever! 🙌🏻 I knew instantly that I had to grab a Bibliophile candle which smells of Vanilla & Oud and I already know I’ll be repurchasing this one over and over 😄 The other candle I got is called Apricity and is a mixture of pear, lily & sweet pea 👌🏻☺️ Thank you, Victoria! I can’t wait to go burn them now 😃
QOTD: What was the last movie you watched?
It has been months since I have bought a book on my kindle. I love holding a book in my hands, but this time I wanted to start the book in that moment. Most of the time, the kindle price is lower and I have the book in my hands within seconds. Our latest book club pick is, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, written by Gail Honeyman. I am about a quarter of the way into the book so far, it is a much easier read than our last book. I do not know Eleanor's full story yet, but she is a unique lady so far! She says what is on her mind, even if it is not socially acceptable. I heard a rumor that this book is becoming a movie too with Eleanor being played by Reese Witherspoon! If you are like to me and try to complete a book before it hits the theater, please pick up a copy today! “Although it’s good to try new things and to keep an open mind, it’s also extremely important to stay true to who you really are.” - Gail Honeyman, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

It's the first day of #bannedbooksweek AND it is #mapmonday which makes this little hashtag-loving bookstagrammer very happy 😍 I'm participating in a Banned Book Week challenge hosted by @foxandwit and I am sooo excited about the prompts! If you want to participate, check out the next picture on this post for the prompts! Today's prompt is "books with magic" and the book you featured doesn't have to necessarily be banned, just as long as it fits the daily challenge. As far as I know, Caraval has not been banned or challenged...but I mean, if you're going to ban and challenge Harry Potter, then you might as well ban/challenge all fantasy books 🤷♀️ Have you ever had to challenge a book ban? Unfortunately I have...freedom to read and abolition of censorship are hills I will die on! 🍁

Day 2 #Everythingwekeep#booktour @elexmedia
On our wedding day, my fiance, James, arrived at the curch in a casset
Ooh I really love the first sentence. It made me curious and want to know what happen next.😍❤
@elexmedia translation quality is also superb 😊👍 I did not have confusion when I read it. .
Have you ever read a book and fall in love with the first sentence?
Finally finished with the project at work. It got worse and worse until the day of and it did make me miserable. But when it was all finished, I had to admit what made me miserable also protected me. It was quite difficult to go through because this whole thing was also my worst experience with racism. Let me back up a little bit. In case you didn't know, I'm Korean - born and raised in the country. I've been living in the States for over a decade now. By myself. Until my current job, I was in a white community - mostly Southern, evangelicals, and suburban/rural. In that setting, racism was something lighthearted: "I'm just messing with you." It's supposed to mean no harm, and more in the line of, "come on, it's clear we're different; let's just poke at it for some fun." Yeah, very selfish and at my expense. Once I started my job, I was consciously looking out for it. This is a high-minority rural community and they have barely seen any Asians. I knew I will have to deal with it. Turns out, kids mainly had to do it just to get it out of their system, or to see what kind of reaction I'd give. And only the kids that don't know me try it in the beginning of the year once, just to learn never to try ever again. But hardly any from adults. I never felt included among the teachers, probably mainly because I'm single, unattached, and well, "different," so both ends didn't bother too much. Although, I prefer it that way. Anyway, what I didn't know, however, was that their form of racism is very much in the mindset and the system, which I now know from experience. I know I should probably tell you what was actually happening, but I'm frankly still recovering from it all.
I'm actually not done, and the rest is in the comments.
Tale as Old as Time, Song as Old as Rhyme.... Beauty and the Beast. •~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
I just love the idea of Beauty being deadlier than the Beast. It’s a nice twist. On that note, I still haven’t read this. I don’t think I’ve read any books this month. 😣
QOTD: Do your prefer milkshakes or smoothies? 🍓 // #BookishLyWriteySept17 • DAY 22: #FEAST (THE BEST DESCRIPTIONS OF FOOD IN A BOOK) 🍜 The Wrath & the Dawn duology has some superb descriptions of food I'd say 😋
Tea time! 🍵 I just came back from my math class and I'm ready to have a cup of tea and read for a bit 🙌 I hope your day is going great 🌼 // ¡Hora del té! 🍵 Acabo de volver de mi clase de matemática y estoy lista para tomar una taza de té y leer un rato 🙌 Espero que su día este yendo de maravilla!🌼
I have to take a chance on @fictionalboutique's rep search - she makes the cutest bookmarks! #FictionalBoutiqueRepSearch Hi, I'm Sarah, a book obsessed geek from England who has been blogging about books for nearly 8 years and has fallen in love with the bookstagram community. I'd love to help you grow your business by posting about your products both on here and on my blog! I can't remember how I found your store but I've been following you for a while now & love your designs - particularly all the Harry Potter inspired ones & Bookstagram made me do it one 😃 You asked what new designs we'd like to see more of, well obviously you can never have too much HP but I'd also love things inspired by Beauty and the Beast or Alice in Wonderland. I'm a huge fan of Laini Taylor's so perhaps something Strange the Dreamer related or maybe Game of Thrones or Hobbit inspired (I love anything with dragons 🐲😃). Anyway, thanks for the chance to rep for you & good luck to everyone who has entered the search!
I never thought that I would be this from school but now I don't have anytime to read, so far the best time for me to read is on the bus. Now I've gotta go 'cause I seriously need some sleep rn, goodnight lovelies!💕✨
Day 26 // Fantasy ⠀⠀
📚Happy Book Birthday to One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake! 🎂The stunning sequel to Three Dark Crowns is out today in Australia! I really enjoyed going back into this world after thoroughly enjoying the first book. The characters are all so different (and frankly, some are hard to love 😂) so it makes the book fly by when you're reading from a couple different perspectives. It was also packed with action from the very first chapter so you'll be done in no time with this book and then impatiently waiting for the third one like I am! If you want to read a spoiler free review about the two head over to my bio and follow the link to my blog! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What are some of your favorite under hyped books? Bonus points if it was released this year.
The Beast is an Animal by @peternellevanarsdale is definitely on that list for me. Released earlier this year from @simonandschuster it is super eerie with Grimm fairytale/Salem Witch Trials vibes to it that I absolutely adore. I read the ARC and loved it so much that I bought my own copy, and nearly used in it #bookboyfriendbox (RIP). I am pretty bummed I don’t see it floating around #bookstagram more since the cover is gorgeous and I haven’t found someone to #fangirl with me over it!
So if you’ve read this book, let me know your thoughts!
“You didn’t always find good and evil where you expected to—or where you’d been told to find them.”
Pls send help, TBR is overloaded! (A couple purchases inspired by some favorite bookstagrammers and also Howl because Rory and Jess and some Steinbeck bc East of Eden is my favorite and I want to read more of him)
One book I’d like to read this year is ‘The Secret History’ by Donna Tartt.
My wonderful friend @reagen.reads has nothing but rant about how incredible this book is.
I took it to Cyprus with me, hoping I could start it, but I ended up reading something else instead.
I would like to at least have started this by the end of the year.
What’s one book/series you’d like to start this year?
