I finished ‘The word is murder’ last night and I’ve rated it a 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoyed this book. I liked how it was written in first person from the actual authors perspective. This was a crime investigation story and I really liked how we went through different suspects to try and solve who the murderer was. I like how I couldn’t guess who the murderer was, as that then made the ending better for me. The probably only thing that I didn’t like was I would have liked more detail and description for some parts, but that’s really only it.
Synopsis: A wealthy woman strangled six hours after she’s arranged her own funeral. A very private detective, uncovering secrets but hiding his own. A reluctant author drawn into a story he can’t control. What do they have in common? Unexpected death, an unsolved mystery and a trail of bloody clues lie at the heart of Anthony Horowitz’s page-turning new thriller.
Hey everyone! Today was my first day of school and it started off horribly. I got up at 6am so that I could shower but guess what? The water was ice. cold. So I spent my morning freezing my ass off. It was also pretty cold outside today which didn’t really get me into a better mood. But school itself was okay 🤷🏽♀️
I continued reading Red Queen and I’m on chapter 5 now 🙈 I really like it so far and I can’t wait to go on reading when I’m in bed!
“There was a time, not long ago when flowers grew all year, when days were long and nights star-strewn, and men lived free from fear.”
- The Bear And The Nightingale, Katherine Arden. -
I have so much love for this book. It’s wild, spirited and magical story is beautiful. Vasya is an incredible and empowering character to follow. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, you definitely should!
A little fact about the knife i’m holding behind my back in this image. It is a knife that has been handed down on my mum’s Swedish side of the family for generations. It is a knife that was handmade in Lapland in 1919, made from reindeer bone and leather. You can’t see it here, but it’s also inscribed with beautiful Sami runes. It’s one of my most treasured possessions and i hope i can feature it in some more images soon! 🖤 -
What’s one of your most treasured possessions?
(sunday. 10. 33pm}
Lets not talk about the fact that its the end of sunday. Instead lets talk tropes/cliches/constant occurrences in books. Tell me of the ones you love and tell me of the ones you wish could be hurled into a fire. .
Below you shall see those i wish could be hurled at a fire:
- Personally i dislike love triangles in which the two boys (its always boys, why must it always be boys???) are completely, utterly, different. Oh, and theyre always being compared. Just no. No. No.
- the "chosen" one. AbHOr
- when the two love interests have an intimate moment during a battle scene. Like woop you two love each other greeeat but you do realize that there are hundreds of lives that are at stake right then? Like...Just a thought.
- oh when characters die just for the sake of dying. Its so lovely when it happens.
- "she/he was different from everyone else before" *proceeds to bash all other lovers and 99.9% of the time its slut shaming or for being with many other partners sexually .
tis just a few that i remember. Now of course there are books where these are twisted but these are taken from books i have read. i shall now depart because sleeping sounds really lovely right now. Have a wonderful day/night/evening etc .
Have a sweet day! 🌼🍨

Hey guys! How are you all doing? I’m going back to school tomorrow and I’m so not ready 😭😭 I need at least two more weeks of Christmas break :( I’m pretty tired which is why I’m keeping this caption rather short 👋🏼
after reading this book it truly brings out so many emotional feelings. what a heartfelt story about a young boy named August who was born with a birth defect and goes through hard obstacles of being at a real school for his first time. so many parts of this i got teary eyed and just wanted to hug him, not only for the emotional things he goes through but for being so brave! absolutely loved this book. I have had three open heart surgeries and have always tried to cover the big scar on my chest and although i was never teased about it or called names, i can understand the feeling of wanting to hide something that makes you who you are. thank you for this R.J. Palacio. and for anyone who feels the way Auggie feels, you are stronger than you believe and braver than you feel. there’s nothing in this world you can’t do. We are all wonder’s. 💙👁
