I should really be asleep right now but as always I'm having trouble falling asleep 😭 I have to get up early tomorrow for work. I'm not use to first shift since I always work 2nd! But for some reason they put me on first this time!
Anyways, the Alice in Zombieland series is one of my favorites. You fall in love with the characters easily, most of them at least. I was really iffy about this last book because it was from Frosty's point of view and I wasn't a big Frosty fan but throughout the book I did grow to love him and it wasn't bad at all.
My friend told me there's an ebook called Kat in Zombieland. I may read it just to see what it's about but I wasn't a fan of Kat while reading these books. She was funny at some points but just wasn't my favorite I guess.
Has anyone read The Kat in Zombieland ebook? What did you think of it? 💕
I may be in pain, but I am not weak. // Carve the Mark⠀
QOTD: What's your current read?⠀
AOTD: This is mine! I'm only on chapter two but so far it's been interesting! ⠀
#youknowyouareabookstagrammerwhen from the lovely @beautyandthebeastlybooks ⠀
1. You keep random stuff because it would make good props⠀
2. You feel guilty if you do something else and don't take pictures at the "perfect" lighting time of day and⠀
3. You can geek out over books and fandoms and people don't look at you like you've lost it⠀
4. You buy books you never would have before because you saw it here ⠀
5. You have friends all over the world ⠀
Did you guys see the amazing Dark Arts box from Wick and Fable??!! I am drooling - I want it so bad! I shouldn't but I probably will end up buying 🙈 ⠀
#alliwantformayisabook#sharingsunday must read- hmmm this is super hard but I always recommend HP if you haven't and that's what I give as gifts to people who've never read so I'm gonna go with that! (That's what I did to @jessoileau and now he's a Potterhead whether he admits it or not 😜)
✨The lovely @amongstaprettyprose is doing a rep search for her beautiful book bibs so I thought I'd enter ✨ Hey! I'm Julith from Houston, TX. I'm 22 (soon to be 23) and a huge nerd! Some of my favorite fandoms are Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Sailor Moon, Beauty & The Beast, ACOTAR, Supernatural and Doctor Who. Wait can Wonder Woman be a fandom? Because she's my favorite superhero. Oh yes, I'm a HUGE DC fangirl. Although, I do have some love for Marvel (mainly because Captain America 😍). I love books, Harry Potter and Twilight are what got me into reading hardcore. To this day, I still read Harry Potter at least once a year. Recently I got into ACOTAR though and I freaking love it, I mean Rhysand 😍🔥 Yeah pretty self explanatory. Lol
I am also a collector of things. Mainly Funko pops, they're so cute and little and I just need them all. I also collect other figures though, mainly magical girls. I'm a huge movie buff, the classics are my fav. They just don't make them like they used to anymore, I mean Audrey Hepburn was a goddess on the screen. Let's see what am I missing here? I do YouTube for fun and I'm a nanny during the day. Oh and I'm a dog mom to my two dogs, Gatsby & Shakespeare.
And yeah, that's me, Julith. 💁🏽 I would be honored if chosen to represent your book bibs as they are beautiful and photograph so well against books and pops! Thanks for the opportunity to be a rep, I hope you find great people to represent your beautiful creations! 💖 #TMbbrep1#booksleeve#bookbibs#bookstagram#books#booksarelife#funkopop#booksandpops#bookslover#booksaremylife
Tonight was my first time using organic grass-fed beef, and let me tell you, I'm not ever going back!
These tacos were filled with meat, salsa, spinach, and avocado. They were DELICIOUS! I would have eaten more than two, but meal prep. I need the meat to last for at least two more dinners.
So happy these will be a regular occurrence in my meal plans! Tacos are life, friends! 🌮😍🌮😍🌮
😱😱😱ACOWAR is the only book I've bought multiple copies of...all lies I swear I have multiple copies of different books . But ACOWAR I own 8 copies of and to be frankly honest I forgot I preordered sub boxes and stuff like special editions 😂😂😅 .
Well I'm keeping Four of ACOWAR (bam, UK, Target and personalized editions) Two of them are for my giveaway ( that's ending tonight!! May 29th @ 11:59pm ) One is going to a friend of mine across the world and the U.K. Extra one I'm not sure if I should keep it or give it away or sell it. 🤷🏻♀️ .
But 8 copies is too much to be honest 🤦🏻♀️😂 supporting @therealsjmaas all the way!! #ACOWAR#happyhelloish
I am over la lune 🌝 that Clémentine @doodleblule has agreed to illustrate 🎨 my book on Paris 🇫🇷. She is a Parisienne with an inner Australian 🇦🇺, I am the opposite, and her gallery is just a block down from where I live in Bondi Beach 🏖so I feel it's meant to be! Oh, and her illustrations are exquisite - I have already bought many as gifts, and for my boys' walls, and am pinching myself 👌🏻that I can work with her on a project so close to my heart ❤️.
Good morning booklovers.....
This week, the @classicfm973 #bookonreview with @benjiclassicfm travels on a journey with Morayo in @cassavarepublicpress Sarah Ladipo Manyika's Like A Mule Bringing Icecream To The Sun.
Morayo Da Silva, a cosmopolitan Nigerian woman, lives in hip San Francisco. On the cusp of seventy-five, she is in good health and makes the most of it, enjoying road trips in her vintage Porsche, chatting to strangers, and recollecting characters from her favourite novels. Then she has a fall and her independence crumbles. Without the support of family, she relies on friends and chance encounters. As Morayo recounts her story, moving seamlessly between past and present, we meet Dawud, a charming Palestinian shopkeeper, Sage, a feisty, homeless Grateful Dead devotee, and Antonio, the poet whom Morayo desired more than her ambassador husband. A subtle story about ageing, friendship and loss, this is also a nuanced study of the erotic yearnings of an older woman.
Sarah Ladipo Manyika was raised in Nigeria and has lived in Kenya, France, and England. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and for several years taught literature at San Francisco State University. Sarah currently serves on the boards of Hedgebrook and the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco. Sarah is a Patron of the Etisalat Prize for Literature and host to OZY’s video series “Write.” Her second novel “Like a Mule Bringing Ice Cream to the Sun ” was shortlisted for the 2016 Goldsmiths Prize.
Join her this Saturday at 9pm on the @classicfm973 #bookonreview with @benjiclassicfm inspired by @etisalatreads where she takes us through the story of Morayo and old age and desire and....virtually of course. Hehehehehe

Guys @bookishbeautycourt is having a rep search and I absolutely HAD to enter!🤗
Hi👋😁 My name is Sawyer and I am a booknerd from Canada!🇨🇦
I would be absolutely honoured to rep for you and your business!
My photos tend to be pretty simple, bright, and usually very colourful!❤️ I have no set theme and would therefor be able to show off your adorable bath salts in a number of different ways!
A little bit about myself:
I am a MASSIVE Disnerd, Ravenclaw, Foodie, Fangirl, Art lover, and obviously bookworm!🤓 I post about these passions often and absolutely love meeting new people with similar interests!😊💕
I adore fangirling with my amazing friends and followers over books and bookish merchandise.
(And yes I would definitely be interested in gaining a new friend throughout the repping process😉😁)
When I was little and would go over to my grandma's one of my favourite parts was being able to use all her bath salts. Watching the little grains dissolve into the water was always so much fun and ever so relaxing.😊 since then I have always continued to love bath salts.
Also your bottles are so adorable! They're simply the cutest and I just adore them! 😍
Being a rep has always been a dream of mine and being able to work with someone, promote their business, and watch them grow by taking both our passions together is so amazing! I am currently finishing a repping period with an amazing Canadian candle company and am so so sad to see it end. Being a rep was truly one of the best bookstagram experiences I could have ever asked for.
I'm hoping that what I might lack in follower count I can make up for in enthusiasm! I would be so happy to collaborate on new scents, give feedback, and honestly anything else I could do to help your business grow and flourish!😊
Sorry this is probably pretty long at this point but I'm really just so excited and absolutely love your company!😅
I'm so grateful for this opportunity and wish you all the best with your business and repsearch!💖
Hi friends! I hope your Sunday is going well! I've been refreshing my soul by going to church and going to an ice cream social afterwards! It was really nice to spend time out in the sun with some really great people that I've missed ❤ So here's my #stopdropandshelfie for #acciomaybooks ! I'm normally very good about distracting myself and organizing my book shelf regularly but this month I have not been interested. I think it's because I really want to set up a second shelf area in my bedroom so I'm slowly setting things aside for that. -
How was your Sunday? It's been a really happily lazy weekend and I'm going to start being a little more productive tonight and hopefully get a lot of errands done tomorrow too! -
"Sometimes it is good to stay and press into our challenging circumstances. Sometimes the hard stuff we're in is exactly where God wants us to be in order to strengthen us. Waiting on God can refine us and build our faith. Some of the best things in life come with patient waiting and a period of growth." // @laracasey
"Challenging circumstances" and "patient waiting" are two phrases that just do not go well together in my head. But if I look back on "challenging circumstances" in my life, it is so easy to see that God had a perfect plan.
I didn't make the deadline to launch on the World Race. My mobilizer extended my deadline to exactly a week before I was due to be in Atlanta. I had already bought a one-way ticket to Atlanta. I had such unwavering faith. I knew it would workout. The day of my extended deadline, I woke up, and there was 1,000+ more than I needed to meet the deadline. I was cleared to go.
So why is this job hunt any different? I have been reduced to tears, anger, and frustration more times than I can count in the last few weeks. Having only weeks to find a job is stressful. Having two amazing interviews and have them both not be ideal for one reason or another is frustrating.
I've been the one trying to take control of this, when the pretty little tattoo I got in Johannesburg on my wrist reminds me that I found freedom in no longer needing to have control. I gave all the control to the Lord.
But here's the thing. My relationship with the Lord has been rocky lately. Unstable, weak, pretty much non-existent. He's been there patiently waiting, unwavering, and I have pushed him away with the usual "I don't have time" and a bunch of other excuses.
This is one of those "challenging circumstances" and you can bet I am learning from it.
