Why would anyone ban a book? Seems like a TERRIBLE idea to me! Books are the gateway to knowledge, ideas, and just plain fun, therefore essential in this world. Words are power of the most importance! We must embrace these things not be scared of them! Read a banned book today!! 📚📚📚
What is your favorite banned book?
I have been working on adding figures to my shop, and I am finally going to stock Feyre and Amren on Friday! I have been trying to figure out a process that works faster, but I am just naturally a slow person. 😂
Do you have a favorite candle scent? I tend to buy candles that have fruity scents😍 .
Have a lovely day!
Can we talk about the spine of this book?!? It's freaking gorgeous. I have a slight obsession with it. Plus, this book is amazing so far. I ❤️ The Lunar Chronicles! Such a great series.
Also, if you haven't noticed I'm slowly transitioning this Instagram account to a bookstagram.
I bought The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin yesterday, and I'm so looking forward to reading it. The cover is gorgeous, and there's so much feeling in the writing. It sucked me in as I stood in the bookstore contemplating my options. 📘❤

Hello #booklovers ! When I first laid eyes on this shirt, I knew I had to have it! In between reading and writing my book, I've also been writing Fanfic for Fred and George Weasley because THEY ARE MY FAV CHARACTERS FROM HP AND I MISS THEM. Which character(s) is your favorite from Harry Potter?
This is my 100th bookstagram post! 🎉✨ I'm celebrating it with a book tag (or a not so bookish tag rather). @absurdistdiary tagged me in the #anythingbutbookstag awhile back so here are my tardy answers: 💫Favourite songs right now?
I’m still obsessed with Khalid (Another Sad Love Song, Saved, etc). I’m also loving H.E.R.’s cover of Jungle. And Roo Panes is always great (Glory Days and Indigo Home in particular - you should definitely check him out if you like indie acoustic). 💫Besides reading, what can you do for hours? Watch Friends, explore downtown Toronto or chill with my sisters. 👭👭 💫What’s one thing that you can do that is surprising? I’ve been involved in a musical theatre program for 5 years… so I can do that? SURPRISE. I’m mediocre at acting, dance, and singing! 😂💁🏼 💫Favourite fandom? Harry Potter will always be numba one. But The Raven Boys and ACOTAR have great fan art.😍 💫What’s something you did last year?
I started my bookstagram and book blog! 💫What’s something you think about often?
Self-improvement is something that’s always on the back of my mind. How can I be a better person? 🙈 💫Something unusual you can do?
I can eat an obscene amount of cookies in one sitting. 💫What’s a strangely specific favourite thing? I’m a big fan of humus. Definitely my favourite chip/veggie dip. Yummy. Is that specific enough? 👅👅
What did you think of Caraval?
I finished it yesterday and actually loved it, which you may have read yesterday but I didn't have a photo of it to post so here's the photo today 😂
It's such a beautiful book too, the golden tent on the cover is gorgeous, makes a difference to a plain cover on a hardback 😊
Plus it includes another map which, as we all know, I am very much a fan of seeing in books 😁
Tell me what you thought ☺️
😤I desperately need to talk to someone about this book. Have you read it? I loved her first one, but this was so terribly predictable that I felt as though I was writing the book in my mind. Then, after the characters did everything I thought they would, the last chapter had a surprise ending. Except...it wasn't that surprising. Also, the antagonist was written like a Disney character rubbing her palms together as she hatched her next evil plan. Someone tell me I'm not crazy. Did you feel this way after reading this novel?
One of my most treasured possessions: my #DavidSedarisSignedBook given to me by a friend when I was unable to make his appearance in Bournemouth a couple of years ago.
I've been saving my copy of #theftbyfinding all summer to read while I recover from my op.
Good evening bookworms ✨
I finished Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko today, just in time for tomorrow's first session of the Native American Literature course I am taking this semester. I really liked the story and I love how the author portrayed Tayo's condition (what we would today call PTSD). Though I did have a hard time staying concentrated at times because of the multiple timelines, which are all focused around Tayo, the protagonist, but some deal with events from before the war and others with events that occurred after the war, which results in a rather complex web of interrelated stories.
I have now started Despair by Nabokov, one of the books I have to read for my MA Exams in December and on Wednesday Laura (check out her beautiful bookstagram: @bookendell_ ) and I are starting our buddy read of A Gathering of Shadows and I absolutely can't wait to dive back into Schwab's incredible writing 💙
What book release(s) are you most excited for at the moment?
I'm really excited for two releases that are coming up soon: La Belle Sauvage (The Book of Dust, Book I) by Philip Pullman and Turtles All The Way Down by John Green 🖤
It's a Monday! M A P Monday. Okay, tbh, I don't look at maps 😅 I'm so bad at geography and I don't try to figure out where things are when I read about them because I'm in the moment and I trust the characters to communicate the importance of a place. Maps ARE pretty to look at though, I'll admit.
Shout Out to my friend (@history.bruin) for lending me her old paperback favs and not getting mad at me when the cover fell off one 🙈 The Riddle of the Wren started off well, but I'm bad at reading Mass Market Paperbacks and I didn't want to ruin her's further by manhandling it ☹️ I couldn't find the ebook of it either so it's like one of those special old timey books that you just can't find that easily! So I ordered my own used copy that I can bend up however I want 😜
Have a good day! I got bad travel news today bc I hate surprise travel plans, but I am going to make the best of it by seeing some friends!
#AllTheBooksSept - Book & Map (ftd: map from Goose Girl)
#RFABSeptember17 - I really prefer HC to Paperback!
When you have an idea for a giveaway, and you're trying to be quite about it but you're so excited. 😆 I've been thinking about doing a giveaway for a couple of months, and I've finally found the perfect gift! So, two weeks y'all... two more weeks 😏
I have to have quite a mess of a caption here so bare with me.
So since I was in high school, sophomore to be exact, I watched teen wolf. I didn't care much for the first season but after I stuck with it... it got better and better. Well today I just watched season 6's finale and I'm crushed. It's over. This was the finale to it all. I'm happy that I was apart of this fandom from the start and I'm so so so happy that it ended the way it did. BUT ITS OVER. IM HAVING A MELT DOWN OVER THIS. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WATCH THIS SHOW AND HAVE SEEN THE FINALE.
I almost cried like 6 times I'm not joking. I invested so much of my life towards this freaking show and I want to tell everyone to watch it. I love it so much and I will continue to rewatch it for all time. If they ever decide to add on or remake, I hope it does this show justice because this cast is to die for. The cast alone made me stay for the second season and I'm just so freaking sad it's over mxnxjakMccnnskkakamcncjokan okay enough with that.
I'm so sorry that this caption has nothing to do with my photo but I needed to say it.
I LOVE MTV'S TEEN WOLF SHOW AND EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT OR GIVE IT A CHANCE. Lol😂😂
Okay onto bookish related things. I painted my hand with acrylic paint that, surprisingly, matched the naked cover. I didn't have a moth to hold so I decided on a flower😂
I still need to read this book (and many others) so let me know if you liked this book and recommend it. Also let me know if you disliked it, opinions are open all around 💙
Oh and since insta is an ass some times I'm going to see how long this post is and then see if I can't add the synopsis so that might be added on later or not at all 😅😅 *edit* yea, it won't let me add the synopsis - it's too long! Sorry guys 😭
