Only the third Safari I've seen and I've never spotted a Trek. If you don't see the resemblance, Trek was made by Safari, so I get to clearly excited if I spot one of my own. I think because I looked for so long for the right RV that I have become an RV geek. I drive through the RV park looking at all the different RVs and get excited when I see certain types/ brands. I really love weird ones and older retro RVs like my own.
•Finding the Beauty in Abandoned Societies•
If you've never heard of The Salton Sea, it's an interesting story. It's located in Southern California's Sonoran Desert. It was created after an engineering mistake in the early 20th century, something that should have been considered a national disaster. Instead it was exploited as a valuable investment for those in search of the "American Dream." People flocked to the newly established "oasis in the desert" and bought all the property they could get their hands on. If you follow the story, you learn how mislead those investors were. After several disasters, it's now an abandoned wasteland with few residents still remaining. And for now, it's a place I'm proud to call home. 🖤
I lived in St. Pete in the late 90s. I had ten roommates and they had friends, so every day was a party. We will walk around in groups all over downtown by the bay and we would hang out at this tree at night. My friends work and cafés and restaurants and I would ride around on a pedal bike that I acquired and score free food. What's the best time of my life. I had the least amount of money and responsibility. Lots of free time and friends who also had time.
