Brakeman's Cuvee, our first ever blend of a strong, dark, bourbon barrel aged sour ale, comes out in bottles this October 7th. This beer will be released along with No-Fi Farmhouse I.P.A., and Notes From The Understory. Look out for full event details on Facebook soon!
Brakeman's Cuvee was inspired by the iconic Moonville Tunnel in Zaleski Forrest, and the ghost stories that surround it. The beer clocks in at 10% a.b.v., and we think we've managed to blend elements of bourbon barrel aging, sourness, alcohol, and booziness, into a graceful whole.
The exact blend consists of: 67% sour brown rye ale aged in "second use" bourbon barrels, 22% bourbon barrel dark strong ale, and 11% bourbon barrel aged sour red ale on apricots.
375 ml bottles are $9.99, and 750 ml bottles are $17.99, with no bottle limit for the time being. This beer should see distribution through our normal outlets, but as always, we encourage you to come for the event and get the full experience. Cheers!
You never forget your first... One of the first beers I had (circa Boise 2010) that got me hooked on great and exciting new kinds of beer. Still love it after all these beers. #craftbeer#bourbonbarrelaged @fullsailbrewing
