Nutrient-dense pre-workout shake made with vanilla bone broth protein, 1 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk, 1 tsp unsweetened cacao, 1/2 tsp Astralagus powder, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 banana. Comes in at 350 calories even and 46 grams of protein.
Been reading a lot about Bone Broth protein and gave these single-packets a try. Overall, tasted pretty good. Bone broth has collagen which is great for healthy skin, nails, and joints. Also helps with immune support, memory, and energy levels. I mostly wanted to take advantage of its benefits on my joints since I’m heavier and have been pretty active recently.
The other thing that probably sounds weird is Astragalus. It comes from a root which has been used for thousands of years in Chinese traditional medicine. Its in the family of “adaptogens”, and another great way to boost the immune system, its anti-inflammatory, and some studies show it helps prevent diabetes. Can’t really taste it in the shake, so a good way to get it in my diet.
This turmeric milk is so lovely on a cold morning 💛 Not only is this warming my toes, it also has the potential to improve cognition while I'm studying! Researchers in Australia have been studying cucurmin's affect on working memory & cognition with some promising results. Curcumin, and the cinnamon bark in this tea, have been shown to improve circulation & good blood flow to the brain is important for optimum functioning! No harm in giving it a try with this delicious turmeric milk 😋

Happy Tuesday! Time for #tuesdaytips 👏🏼
This tip today is centered around the topic of #gratitude . With all of the crazy things happening in our world today, and- let’s be honest- the craziness we feel in our own minds too, it’s helpful to center ourselves and find inner peace with being grateful. •
When I used to feel depressed, it was one of the greatest exercises to help me change my focus and reflect on the positive. •
So today, I ask that you take some time to reflect on the things you are truly grateful. Change your perspective. It could be even the littlest of things like being grateful for the sunrise or waking up 2 minutes earlier to not be rushing out the door for work. •
I’m grateful for all of you who read my Tuesday tips! I’m also grateful for my health, and the decisions I make each day to keep myself feeling my best. I’m also grateful every day for my kind-hearted husband @mazzania for keeping me level-headed, laughing and challenging me to be my best each day. •
Let me know what you’re grateful for by sharing in the comments here. Let’s spread the #positivevibesonly 💚

Aww yeah! Back in ketosis! Feels so good!! We told you guys about Keto Mojo a couple of months ago. Who got it and has been using it? We've found it to be very accurate. Grateful for this company who is making blood ketone testing much more affordable. Nice job Keto Mojo! 👊🏼
We are also back in ketosis after a few weeks off. Feels amazing. We have noticed the initial water weight drop for sure, so we're making sure we stay on top of electrolytes and water. Not just water, has to be a balance.
We like Synerplex electrolyte powder on Amazon. We also found a delicious electrolyte powder at Vitamin Shoppe while out here in CA called Ultima Replinisher. And we also discovered a supplement with electrolytes/vitamins/minerals with a strong background in research and methylation pathways at Bulletproof called Ola Loa. We will be getting a wholesale account with them so we'll keep you posted on that and pass the savings along your way! 😊
Have you checked your genetics? I have! I know I have the APO E E4 gene. It means that my risk to get Alzheimer is higher if I don't take care of my health.
There are many recommendations how to protect from getting Alzheimers so noone need to feel it's hopeless.
Dr Daniel Amen gives the following recommendations based on science: •Check your genetics! •Engage in leisure activities like sports or hobbies that involve new learning •Avoid head trauma—especially if you have the APOE e4 gene •Take a balanced multivitamin/mineral with extra vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acid EPA and DHA
Supplement (to reduce beta-amyloid and tau protein accumulation) with resveratrol, green tea extract, blueberry extract, Panax ginseng, ashwagandha, and coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) •Eat more polyphenol-rich foods, such as chocolate, green tea, blueberries, kale, apples, cherries and cabbage, and cook with sage and turmeric •Avoid foods high in saturated fats that also boost your blood sugar, like pizza, processed cheese, and microwave popcorn
I walk to and from work. I eat nutritious food. Today I had liver stew with butter and veggies from my garden.
I had matcha latte with raw cacao in the morning and a green drink with chlorella, turmeric, acai etc for the polyphenols. I also had fish oil.
Trying to be a bit more strict with my diet recently to lose a little bit of extra fat. Although the first week was really tough, I'm now getting use to it and loving the results! 💪 .
(#throwback photo | I don't eat that much fruit with my breakfast anymore 😂)
Hi all, after a few busy days over the weekend I am trying to get back into my #Keto routine. It hasn’t stopped raining for three days straight so it’s a tv day. Having a fatty coffee as big as my head because.....coffee
I usually drink 16 oz. of water first thing in the morning with 1/4 tsp. salt and a tbsp. of apple cider vinegar… But I think I need to supplement with more later in the day. The capsules seem like a great option for me, especially since I work out in the afternoon. I got 00 gelatin capsules and @sfsaltco Sherpa Himalayan salt on Amazon... it is the perfect size capsule to fill 1/4 tsp. I will keep them in my purse in this leftover ibuprofen container. Yay for Keto hacks! Gotta get that sodium in! ☝🏼☝🏼
