It is not fair to our soul’s purpose (and potential) to keep ourselves wrapped up in living from our pasts. We are always changing, so it’s time you stop resisting. .
It does not serve you (or others) to live from your childhood wounds, or your parents’ histories, or from the patterns and experiences that your ancestors endured many generations ago. .

One of the best reads on the subtle anatomy of our body. We really are a miracle, and it is no surprise that after countless failed doctors visits, some injured or dis-eased people are referred to yogic practices such as body movement, breathing and meditation. Something deeper is going on behind the scenes. I am just so fascinated by the science of yoga, which in many ways is abstract and metaphysical in nature. When something so abstract as consciousness is involved, the closer and closer we get to ‘it’ the further from the body and its physical properties we go. Along with the dissolution of the ‘known’, the measured and studied qualities become less and less concrete. When I look at it from this perspective, seeing the cells of the human body as 50 trillion tiny little machines functioning symbiotically under One organizing force, I wonder how it is difficult to believe in the intelligence of this organization. Then I wonder, is it possible to understand the sequence of manifestation this consciousness takes before crystallizing into bodily form? Perhaps this understanding is a missing key in the true healing sought after in medicine. Yogic science claims to offer the understanding to be had intrinsically, through direct experience. More importantly, the practices of yoga suggest that through understanding ourselves across all of these dimensions of our being we might better relate to others and our planet, for we see that once the barriers come down there is only One energy animating all things. Today my body was stiff, achy and tight. It took me longer to warm up and feel as though I was making space. After lots of side bends and breathing exercises (pranayama), I came to Warrior 2 and just hung out....to observe my body, feel my body and to notice my thoughts. Sometimes a few moments of stillness and presence make the world a different place. .
