Related to Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" (you know, the two hands nearly touching), this sculpture can be seen all over the world.
Crafted from 1968-70, it is twice as tall as you are and may be viewed in Perry Green (UK), at Exchange Square in HongKong, at Princeton University (New Jersey), in the Kunsthalle Bielefeld, at Dorrian Commons, Columbus (Ohio) and, like the one I photographed, at the Arp Museum in Rolandseck.
The sculpture consists of only one circle that still has two endings. Apply this thought to whatever you want. "Oval with Points", Henry Moore.
#brexit#florence#firenze ...as a florentine I am proud that Theresa May chose Florence for her Brexit statement (even if brexit is simply terrible) ...as Florence is the place where Europe was born...n where everything started...few centuries ago...
Very excited my series "Mixed'' is currently exhibited in the 'No Turning Back' exhibition at the @migrationmuseumproject in London. Amid uncertainty over Brexit and what it might mean for the future movement of people to and from Britain, No turning back examines seven previous moments that had profound effects on Britain and its people. This image is called 'daughter & mother' and was shot in 2011. Mixed is about the lives and experiences of people who have grown up in a family that perhaps surprises others. The images present different family members, a parent, a child, a sibling or a grandparent all of whom are related. My aim is to show how society is evolving and changing, and how as it does we are all encouraged to think differently. Whilst the differences are seen on the surface through skin colour, I believe the real changes are more than skin deep and that in effect we are witnessing a coming together not only of cultures, but class, religion and genealogy. I am in a mixed relationship and together with my partner we have three children who I believe represent this aspect of a changing society. This is a very personal shot to me as it shows my partner Laverne and my daughter Emilia #noturningback#migrationmuseam
Talking Brexit, Brexit, Brexit, Brexit... is there no escape? Brexit, Brexit, Brexit... On hearing I'd moved to Florence Theresa May must have thought that if Tim will not come to Brexit, then Brexit must go to Tim. #florence#brexit#brexittalk
Exploring this swanky pad during #openhouselondon 👍 this is Lancaster House, a neo-classical mansion originally built by the Duke of York, and now managed by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Theresa May made her famous #brexit speech here, and it's often used as a location for films as 'Buckingham Palace'.
"Florence was chosen as the host for the PM's Brexit speech because of enduring European values: an embodiment of the fact that Britain is 'not leaving Europe'". - @skynews
Looking forward to attending the Prime Minister, Theresa May's speech in my home country and discussing the future of Britain.
Do you despise Nigel Farage, or know somebody that does? If you answered yes, then this could well be the perfect gift.
I drew this earlier in the year, but can no longer stand to look at his hideous face. This image would look great pinned to a dartboard or even set on fire!!!
Buy it now for a bargain price of just £10 and watch those Brexit blues melt away. Link in bio.
Putin plans to raise over $100 million to establish a bitcoin mining centre & stated “Russia has the potential to reach up to 30 percent share in global cryptocurrency mining in the future.”
If the Chinese government heavily regulate & restrict the Bitcoin mining industry this will elevate the chances of this happening!
