Gahhhhh nerves are setting in! 😬 Long week with work and difficult with long distance boyf but focusing on this weekend has really helped calm me. Until now!! Big breakfast to start the day right and I’ve just had a little nap too 🤔 I didn’t do much training for it last year and had to walk, this year I want to run it all! I’ve never been bothered about my time, I’m a slow runner and I’m fine with that! 💪👌💥 calming thoughts today, let’s do this! 😬
I can’t believe I get to do this!
Red buses cruising all over the city, picking up a bunch of excited kids and bringing them back to a place where they will hear that they are loved, where they will get fed, and will be entertained. So many wonderful people involved in making this happen, and I am so grateful to be a very small part of it! (Truth be told, driving is still pretty intimidating for me).
The official start of the the Saturday session season has begun, thanks to the hard work of many.
Off season feels.... being on the gainz! Yea I’m carrying more body fat.. no it’s not fluff 🙄 it’s fat, and I am embracing it as it’s part of the process! A process of feeding my body to make the gainz, gainz that will help me smash it next year! Yea I love being lean but this is the point when I have to learn to enjoy every part of the process not just the stage!! A nice long off season then I get to shed the fat and reveal what has grown!! Are you afraid of change?
I know I was. In fact, sometimes I still am. This past week has kicked my 🍑! I haven’t slept much. I struggled with a 3 day migraine. I used my headache as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted and to miss multiple of my workouts.
Did that help me? 😂😂😂 Absolutely not!! I’m sure the garbage I put in to me actually fueled the headache and something mild like yoga would’ve been a better choice.
My point is that I am human just like you. While I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, sometimes I don’t.
Actually, I like junk. I like cheesecake and pizza and wine. AND I eat and drink them!! 🍕 🎂 🍷

The White Salmon River always provides! I have enjoyed this #wildandscenic river for nearly 20 years. No matter where in the world I have been traveling/paddling it always feels great to come home and re-immerse myself in this epic whitewater playground! Rains over the last few days have already brought the water up on the White Salmon and upcoming #floodwarnings and #rain in the forecast have me dreaming about some 6ft. laps!!!! Could it be???? Wow. Isn't this so true? Some days I read the devotion and move on. Others it feels like it speaking right to me. I'm a control person. 😬 I've been working hard on just trusting Him and turning over control. Easy to do with the distant things in life, much harder inside my little world. I'm striving to hold His blessings with an open hand.
