Sadly, my taste buds haven’t caught on to the whole coffee thang yet but for all you avid coffee drinkers, I’ve done some research & if you’re wanting to perk up in a hurry a 10 minute walk up and down a set of stairs can energise you more than 50mg of caffeine, the amount found in half a cup of coffee or a can of soft drink 😱😱. So don’t ditch the morning coffee, drink the coffee then walk.... double the perkinesss ✌️

Finally did my second park run this morning at Kedron ✅🏃🏼‍♀️ Working towards my goal of finishing another half marathon (and hopefully marathon eventually) later this year, as well as trying to do morning exercise (always a struggle) 😅 Treated myself to this delicious burger from one of my favourite all-vegan restaurants @thegreenedge 🌿💚 Now off spending the night watching @matsenxhummus smash it out in his game of soccer ⚽️ Happy Saturday 🌞🌞

🔸 Plan what are you going to eat and make a shopping list. Simplify when you think about your week meals (you can always do fancy recipes on weekends). .
🔸 Choose 1 day per week to do the shopping and prepare some meals (or chop some veggies and store them for example).

🔸 Have a strong snack game to bring to work - look options with low sugar, with protein and good fats - hummus and carrots/celery; or nuts and yogurt; or boiled egg and a tomato. .
🔸 Have a smoothie plan or toast with avo for brekkie - don’t leave home to grab a coffee and a muffin on your way to work 😏

🔸 If you finish work or workout late, left something ready to eat when you get home, to avoid last time take-away or microwave food. It might be tricky initially, but once the habit’s in place you’ll wonder how you got on without it. .

Saying I don’t want to come back is an understatement 😩😩 it’s hard to leave when this place feels like your home! However, the plus side of leaving is getting back into my routine and seeing @simon_giacomotto to discuss where we are at with food, training and of course what the end of the year holds for me 😏💪🏼 so excited to have this amazing coach by my side to help get me stage ready!!!! Never underestimate the power of the right stretch 👌🏼 yesterday we were lucky enough to have a partnered stretching session with @becmckay at @thestudioupstairs_ . I have been following this amazing tribe for a while now and so it was safe to say that I was extremely excited to step foot in their wonderful creation. The sense of calm and the energy that was in this place was indescribable. Bec took us through some stretching, meditation and a massage and we all left feeling like we just entered a different world for 60 minutes. I would 100% recommend. Not only is the studio amazing, if you are lucky enough to meet bec she will give you words that’ll stay with you forever. ✨✨ I’ll be back!! .

Why do you train at 12RND?
No start times & a different workout everyday (which never seem to get any easier). Not having to think about it, just turn up & do it. Great trainers who push you hard, but in a nice way.

Have you always been a regular exerciser?  If so, what have you been doing?
I've always tried to do something.  Before kids I used to run, then after having the boys I was doing small group fitness classes up until I joined 12RND. 
Least favourite exercise at 12RND?
Where to start ... 3min Row, Man Makers, High Knees & anything with the word "thruster" in it.

What is your next goal as far as fitness is concerned?
I'd like to start running again & improve my cardiac fitness a bit.

What do you do for fun away from work?
Try & catch up with family & friends.  Read books. Drink wine.

Favourite saying:
"OK boys its bedtime!" Best part of the day.  This is where the wine comes in.

Favourite food:
A really good cheese platter.

Favourite holiday destination:
I absolutely love Italy.  But in reality, we go to Caloundra, which we also love!
