PROPERTY SELLING TIP: Stay up to date with the local market trends.
One of the most useful things you can do is stay up to date with what’s happening in the local property market. Prices increasing = good. Pricing decreasing = bad. This is an easy indicator of when it might be a good time to sell, and you should use trends to figure out your strategy.
Also keep an eye out for basic supply and demand. Right now there are a lot of units going up, so it might be a good time to buy, but not a good time to sell, because when something isn’t scarce, people don’t want it as much.
Myer confirms sales drop, more store closures
Myer’s struggles to overcome sluggish consumer spending have been confirmed, after the department store giant confirmed a fall in sales and profit.
MYER has announced three store closures after its net profit dived 80 per cent due to weaker sales and writedowns on the value of some of its fashion labels.
The department store chain posted a net profit of just $11.9 million for the year to July 29, which was its weakest result since listing on the stock exchange in 2009.

Colorbond Monument and Whisper White. These new rear townhouses are fitted with 1920's federation antique doors hand picked from Grand Ideas in Northgate. Rehabilitating antiques whilst three times the price of new doors, tell a story of Queenslands built form history - that's an important development value personally to me to continue architectural stories over time. Also to involve our neighbours. The 80 year old Seller living two doors up came down to help water the plants. This client was in a particularly tough situation. His bank had given him the runaround, meaning he was left without a solution with time running out. Rather than refinancing the loan, which would have cost him time and a significant amount of money, we were able to find a workable solution with the existing lender within 24 hours.
Our commitment was to find the best solution for our client, not to maximise our commission by forcing a refinance that wasn’t necessary.
