Anyone in Plastics Land got one of these, please? Does anyone know anything about it?

When I used a flash, it has glitter flecks in the layers, something the others don't have. Recently I found one in a presentation jewellery box and it's Japanese iro-urushi work. Can I assume the others are?
Does anyone collect iro-urushi lacquerwork and can you tell me anything about it, please? The few pieces I can find are crazily expensive, or listed as other things. I also have a cut through Japanese character necklace with a label still one (deadstock)
The glitter one was listed as something like 'plastic button', I just imagined that the etching on the front was Japanese in style and like the one I have in the presentation case, but not as finely done.
Any info gratefully received. Already had suggestions of paper, cinnabar and laminated bakelite, but I'm not sure it's any of those. I'v never seen lacquer with glitter particles in, has anyone else?
