It's mile repeats day in marathon training. Who else is up and crazy enough to be repeating miles 😂? I love it because it's along a trail and so it's giving my knee a bit more healing before the race. #belleonthego#marathontraining
So I "ran" the Yurcak the official unofficial half marathon. ..but as you can see I got a dnf...I was DONE WAY before I was able to find some shortcuts out of the woods.
Let me just say....this made the Huntersville Half...look like a cake walk ...or is that "feel" like 😁😃😄
I haven't run more than 4 1/2 miles since I tripped on a trail run at the beginning of August.
I haven't run more than 6 miles since my injury at the end of February.
I haven't run more than 8 miles since 2013.
I'm not trying to build myself up, but I want to hammer home: your body Is an amazing machine, fuel it right and it will do things your mind can't fathom.
Running and most sports are part ability, part training....but a whole lot of mind over body.
Your body can and will do what you tell it to....even if that is that horrible 4 letter word: quit
So make sure you keep positive thoughts and squash those can't do before they take root
And don't forget to fuel your run and follow up with post run nutrition (Yes, I used everything in the photo - pre, intra and post)

Taken while we still had our sanity, which was lost soon afterwards. We scaled a mountain, covered 27 miles total in 2 days, Colt got attacked by wasps, and we got a little lost in nature's stomach. Couldn't do it without my guide and bro @b1gsexi92. Thanks for the back pain 😀
