It has always been a dream of mine to hold a workshop in an event center of a mall. And now it's actually happening on December 10! I'll be teaching a basic brush and watercolor calligraphy workshop in Glorietta 4 from 4 to 6 pm.
Materials (water brush pen, watercolor, a palette, and a calligraphy pen) are included in the workshop fee. There will also be pop-up stores and other workshops in the event. I really hope to see you there!

Happy Monday! I'm trying out a batch day for admin tasks and content creation, because I'm setting up a blog and newsletter for the new year! Excited and nervous to do this, but taking my own advice to just go for it! Do you batch create your content or post as you go?
P.S. My Etsy shop is stocked again! You can get yourself this (A5) print or gift it to your favorite lady that could use some extra motivation 👉 bit.ly/hohetsy
Did you hear / read / receive my smoke signal about the newwws? Aussies on the East Coast... you'll wanna listen / eyeball UP!
In 2 weeks I'll be meeting a stranger from the internet for the very first time, and driving ALL the way from Cairns to Melbourne with them. Don't worry you guys! It's not my Nigerian Prince boyfriend I met over email who needs $2,000,000 so we can be together, it's just @thehappyevercrafter! (He'll have to wait)
So as weird as it sounds to meet someone for the first time and then immediately spend 2 weeks in a car with them... it's less weird when you've been online pals for almost 2 YEARS and talk to them more than some of your real life friends. In fact, it's v exciting and I'm ready for all the pen chats 🤗
So get your ugly Christmas tshirts ready (it's too hot for sweaters) and turn those Dad jokes up to ELEVEN 🔥 cos we comin' atchaaa.
Head to www.blackchalkco.com/roadtrip and fill out the lil form telling us where abouts on the East Coast you'd like to meet up with us, and we'll get back to you soon with exact dates and locations!
Double bonus internet friend points if you can tell us good food spots and art stores to stop at along the way 😍
We look forward to meeting you all soon!

Bought a textile pen for a project. Found a scrap piece of cloth to test it on. Not bad. Easy to use and, even though it’s not captured in the photo, I can see the glitter on the ink. #brushcalligraphy#brushlettering
Reposting because my ugly hand was the cover page 😂😂😂 anyways, was so happy to find this Palomino blackwing pencil at Kinokuniya 🙌🏼 hahaha have been wanting to try them out. Heard they were really good & smoooth ✨ Never thought I'd spend $3 on a pencil but here I am... $9 poorer hahahaha (I bought 3) 😐✏️
A Christian Home •
O Lord, our God, our homes are Thine forever!
We trust to Thee their problems, toil, and care;
Their bonds of love no enemy can sever
If Thou art always Lord and Master there:
Be Thou the center of our least endeavor:
Be Thou our Guest, our hearts and homes to share.
I realised how much of a perfectionist I can be when it comes to creating art. I guess it stems from the fear of making mistakes and the need to do the same thing over and over until it’s been set right. But upon the third try of doing this piece and somewhat not satisfied with my lettering, something prompted me to just let the small mistake go and continue with finishing it. Maybe cos I know that the more I try to rectify the mistake, the more I’d get frustrated, impatient & it’d never be done or it could just get worse. So yes, viewing this small mistake as part of the final art piece can be liberating. I guess this applies to my own spiritual life as well - I need not try to cover up every single mistake and hide from those mistakes, but learn from them. Because it is through those mistakes that I’m able to look deeper inside myself and realise that God loves me all the same, flaws and all. I’m really grateful & blessed to have a heavenly Father who loves me unconditionally. Indeed He makes everything BEAUTIFUL in His time.
