Chris Smith, one of the owners/founders of the new South Lake Brewing Company @southlakebrewco grew up mountain biking in Tahoe. Being impressed with the new trails, improvements to Corral Trail and creation of the Bijou Bike Park he said that when the brewery opens they were going to create a “TAMBA beer” where a percent of sales go back to the organization. That happened this year and this is TAMBA’s first source of sustainable funding besides membership. Not only is SLBC supporting the community but they are quickly being recognized as making some of the best beer in Tahoe. Stop by the brew room and order a Trail Builder Ale and look for it around town at other fine establishments.
We don’t give out many awards, but when we do they mean something. Well done South Lake Brewing Company, you’re setting the bar high!
Suzuki GS450 Cafe project.
Problem; '81 GSX250 tank fitted, original fuel tap fouling the frame.
Solution; machine an aluminium adapter and use a '57 to '74 fitment Harley tap.
Problem solved and looks much nicer too, bonus! 👍
Cutting some fresh Singletrack today with Toledo Metroparks staff and our volunteer crew. This is a cool little ridge we’re utilizing. Also met a staffer from @dirtragmag from PA enjoying our trail as we dug in a stone feature.
That's a wrap on the Elevator Shaft re-route in Tahoe City. Our volunteer crew held the last build day on the trail yesterday and now the trail is open.
Repost from @radvanadventures
We had a great group blasting out the finishing touches for the year. Three months of trail build days and the trail is open! Those of you in the Tahoe area, please ride, hike, and run it lots before the snow flies!
It was an honor to work with our dedicated group of volunteers. What we lacked in numbers, we made up for with hard work and enthusiasm. The same core group showed up week after week for free manual labor because of their love of the outdoors and desire to make our trails better. Thank you everyone!
