Bulking Season is over... sadness ensues. Aside from getting lazy on cardio over the holidays I am very happy with this 12 week self guided bulking cycle. I gained +9 good lbs minimal and minimal fat gain. Measurements increases in all locations except for hips, quads, waist. Time to be hangry for the next 10 weeks for the cutting cycle. Protein milk is by far one of the funniest of all the “protein foods” that I’ve seen available on the market. Taking the above example, in Ireland, a typical “protein milk” will cost ~€2 per 1L vs a standard low fat milk costing ~75c per 1L. HOWEVER, supposedly the $$$ is well worth it for your gains as you get a milk that’s HIGH quality & enriched with added whey. Wrong & there’s science to prove it.

Firstly, if you weren’t aware, milk protein is already  comprised of 80% casein & 20% whey (Haug et al 2007) & while one can argue that “protein milk” may contain a greater % of whey & thus more “anabolic” (as studies have shown whey to be more effective at stimulating MPS than casein due to a higher leucine content) (Tang et al 1985, Penningset al 2011), studies have still shown that there is similar (if not identical) robust stimulation of MPS with either 20g of milk protein or 20g of whey protein DESPITE marked differences in the plasma leucine responses between groups postprandial (Mitchell et al 2015). In layman’s terms, even though milk protein may have had less leucine content than whey, the magnitude of anabolic signalling (via mTOR) was the same suggesting that the consumption of milk protein is a simple & cost effective strategy to stimulate MPS. ➖
Conclusion: Go ahead and still purchase “Protein milks” “Protein cookies” “Protein breads” etc. but I’ll have you know that for the extra mark up in price (in this case 1.6x more expensive), the additional protein (if at all) that you get won’t be good enough to add inches to your arms & quads so ditch it and save yourself some $$$. Don’t get me wrong, some “protein” foods are far better than others however, when it comes to DAIRY (protein cheeses, milks, yogurts etc.) they aren’t usually that much higher in protein quality and/or quantity if at all. If anything they may just be slightly lower fat alternatives so instead why not then just by a regular branded low fat alternative that’s still 10x cheaper.

Gosh I’ve had such an unproductive day today 😬 going from a super productive week, to doing less than 3 hours worth of work in total today has really unsettled me. But it’s too late to do anything about it now. My mind has just been elsewhere today, and that’s all there is to it 🤷🏼‍♀️ Tomorrow is a new day, a new week, and a new chance to get my productivity back on track 🤓 After all, it’s just one day 🤷🏼‍♀️ ➖➖
Saying that, although I haven’t managed much in the way of uni work, I have planned out an entire weeks worth of food, made all of my lunches, baked some berry oat muffins, and worked out. So not a complete disaster by any means, I’d have just liked to have done a bit more revision for my Module Test tomorrow that’s all 🙈 ➖➖

Voltando a treinar Membros superiores com meu amor @gustavohabreu e a barra fixa e um dos exercícios que eu mais gosto !!! E vai aí  pra vcs meninas , as mulheres devem treinar igual aos homens ? 
Existe um estigma nas academias  quando se fala em musculação ou exercício com pesos entre as mulheres. Se você treinar pesado acabará ficando masculinizada ou com trejeitos de homem é o pensamento mais comum. Porém o treino não tem essa característica. O que ele faz é fornecer uma série de benefícios que irão lhe auxiliar juntamente com boa dieta, descanso e suplementação adequados, a chegar nos efeitos desejados, que são mais músculos e menos gordura, sem perder a feminilidade.

Esse temido efeito masculinizante está diretamente ligado ao uso de recursos ergogênicos sintéticos, como é o caso dos esteroides anabolizantes, principalmente de origem androgênica, que tendem a trazer efeitos masculinizantes em seus usuários, como a testosterona.

Com relação ao treinamento, sempre procuro focar na correta técnica de execução, com amplitude máxima, sendo  BEM FEITO. Algumas meninas confundem treino pesado com treino de levantamento de carga, com amplitudes reduzidas e, com isso, o treino acaba não sendo feito da forma adequada para os objetivos acima mencionados.

Costumo trabalhar com altas repetições, em torno de 15 a 30 repetições com o objetivo de recrutar o maior número de fibras possíveis e assim chegar no tão desejado objetivo de tonificar e aumentar os músculos.  Quando se necessita de um trabalho para perda conjunta de gordura, faço  circuitos de treino usando o cardio no meio e final do treino com o objetivo de aumentar o metabolismo e a queima calórica. Acreditem, o resultado vai ser impressionante, meninas!

Obviamente fica impossível falar de bem estar e estética favorável sem falar de dieta e suplementação. 🍔 Quería algo diferente así que, buscando por internet me encontré una Burguer gourmet estilo oriental. Fue premio a la mejor burguer de autor en Baleares en 2013. Era de paletilla de cordero así que, lo único que he modificado es la carne. Yo he optado por solomillo de ternera. Os dejo los ingredientes:
>200gr solomillo ternera
>20gr arroz basmati
>Huevo
>Salsa de soja, polvo de chile, sal, pimienta, pimentón dulce. (Yo he usado especias distintas a la original)
>La salsa es aguacate, yogur natural, tabasco y ajo negro.

👨🏻‍🍳 La carne se macera con las especias y soja. El arroz se cuece con laurel y cuando lo tengas, mezclas con la carne y el huevo. Das forma, y a la parrilla. Muy rica. Espero que os guste.

Bueno acá les comparto mi rutina de uno de mis músculos favoritos"femoral" muchos saben cómo me gusta entrenarlo 😏😁👊🏻se las recomiendo 👌🏻
Calentamiento de 10 min en bicicleta y estiramientos. -> leg curl acostado: 4 series en triserie con 3 pesos diferentes(pesado, medio y liviano) por 15x15x15 repeticiones respectivamente -> curl de piernas sentado en máquina : 6 series x 15 repeticiones aumentando peso en cada una pero siempre 15 -> peso muerto con barra libre: 4 series x 12 repeticiones al 70% del peso máximo y luego de la última un drop set con la mitad de el último peso hasta el fallo(30-40 rep) ->curl femoral con mancuerna acostado en colchoneta : 4 series x 15 repeticiones -> leg curl individual en máquina de pie: 3 series x 20 rep en cada pierna 
Y listo 😁 q más quieren 😏no olviden al terminar su rutina inmediatamente tomar su batido de proteina whey con avena y si están en volumen como yo un batido de vitargo o carbohidratos de rápida absorción y luego uno de proteina whey para una mejor recuperación, estos suplementos los pueden conseguir en @fit_line_medelliin @fit_line_medelliin @fit_line_medelliin @fit_line_medelliin
