We spend a lot of time researching our products, where they come from, the process in which they’re made, the people behind them, etc. When we source products for The Pale Blue Dot, we think “cradle to grave”. We ask a series of questions that help us decide whether the product should be on the shelves of The Pale Blue Dot or not.
What is this product made of? Are these materials renewable? Are they harvested responsibly? Who are the creators & manufacturers of the product and what are their values? If the manufacturing is outsourced, are the workers paid fair wages / working in an fair trade environment? Is it socially responsible? Where is it being made? How is it packaged? How will it be shipped? Will the company agree to ship with no plastic packaging? Where will this product end up at the end of its lifecycle? Is there a Canadian manufacturer that makes a product of equal quality? Which option is more sustainable?
We work with companies that share our core values. So our customers can feel confident that when they purchase an item from PBD, they’re supporting great businesses and lowering their environmental impact while doing so. We don’t bring in any products with plastic parts or plastic packaging, and we do our absolute best to work with our suppliers to reduce unnecessary packaging during shipping.

We love our pets. From the cuddles to the kisses to the soft fur…they’re awesome.⠀
What’s not so awesome is the odors they can sometimes leave behind though, right?⠀
Sure, you can clean a stain, but sometimes that isn’t enough to get rid of the funky odor left behind. Here’s a handy tip: grab a couple of tablespoons of baking soda, add a few drops of lavender essential oil, and sprinkle it over the stench, let it sit for an hour, and then vacuum it up.
Awesome words of wisdom! ❤️it! #Repost @justinloncaric with @get_repost
Try not to be a person of success but rather try to become a person of value. - Albert Einstein
Everyone wants to be successful. It’s basic human nature. We want success, we want love, we want a family, we want our children to have better lives. These are all incredibly deep-held values in our society and the key ingredient to all of these things is success. .
However success is not solely based on how you do in school or at work, what car you drive, what your job is. Those are all factors, but if you live alone in an apartment, working a dead-end job, but making a lot of money, what are you really doing with your life?
As human beings, you and I not only need success in that form, but we also need love. We need to feel like we are doing something with our lives and affecting the lives of other people in positive way. .
I feel most successful when I feel good, when I am contributing something to the life of another, when I am adding value. This is why I love what I do. Raising a family, goes without saying but also helping my clients in what can be the biggest stress in a persons life, the biggest decision financially and having them trust in me in helping them through this process is one of the most satisfying things and the reason why I consider myself to be incredibly successful. It has to be about so much more than just the commission. .
