No, I haven't lost my mind. 
I did not mix up the titles. ⠀

❌Because most pictures you see on Instagram, advising you what to eat, how to lose weight or god knows what else, forget one very simple important thing : we are all different. 
Meaning, what I can eat to function optimally won't be the same as you.
I don't digest neither greek yogurt, brocoli, chickpeas, nor apples. This was like a curse to me at first because I love of all of these foods. But trust me, given how poor I am after eating them, I learned to focus on the foods my body tolerates. 
Which includes pastas, chocolate, toast, and cereals. This is why you can see these foods on my feed. Someone might think "Lol, she's supposed to eat healthy but she's eating chocolate" - WELL MY FWIEND, this is what being healthy means. 
Eating what you fit your needs, your tastes, and your body. 
And for that, no picture can make it up for you ☝🏼❤️

Whilst shakes and smoothies are convenient, their calories can vary considerable.

Shakes and smoothies can be good for weight loss BUT also for weight gain. Whilst a very basic protein shake - just the powder -can be less than 150 calories, if you start adding a few things👩🏻‍🍳to make that “basic” shake more exciting or to taste better, the calories can really add up.

I would never sell you Herbalife🙄🤦🏻‍♀️or FitTeaShakes or whatever that rubbish is called. But, sometimes protein shakes can help to increase your daily protein or fresh shakes can be healthy and convenient.

This post hopes to show that a shake is not automatically for weight loss and liquid calories can really add up too!

Freezing cold but loving my gym session. It looks like I recover back a bit my strengh and... I got a new PR on cable machines!! I was able to do a front pull down with 77lbs 🤗 It may not look too much but for me its a huge achievement, so happy today!! 😄

The weight I gained over Thanksgiving must have been mostly water weight, which explains this massive weight loss. 😳I am so happy but truth be told, wish I felt I earned it this time. This week was so hard for me. I have been more relaxed with tracking and just haven’t been doing my best. In the past I have gotten like this, and ended up giving up. So much of this is about the mindset and being strong mentally. I know what needs to be done. I need to set some new goals and get back on that train again! When I started I set a goal to not miss a meeting up until Thanksgiving and to also track everything I ate until Thanksgiving. So today was the day that I set as my 1st target. I wanted to lose 21lbs for my best friends wedding (which is this coming saturday).. today was that weigh in!!!! YAY! I did it #21.5lbs total lost in 12 weeks. I am so glad I chose to join @weightwatchersuk when I did. 
I still have 1 stone to go until GOAL but I'm getting there. And giving myself until Wednesday april 4th to do so.

Did you know that food derived from animals eg: meat, eggs and dairy, contains no fibre whatsoever, zero, which means if your diet is high in these products, you are quite likely compromising your bowel and gut health. 🌱

Before adopting a whole food plant based diet over 20 years ago, (initially for health reasons) I suffered from an extremely sluggish bowel resulting in a regular intake of unnatural pharmaceutical products to help alleviate the problem. 🌱

I'm happy to say, that with the wide variety of plant based foods that I now enjoy, this issue has corrected itself naturally. 🌱

Prunes are one of my favourite dried fruits not only because they are delicious, but also because they have long been touted for their naturally occurring laxative properties, although this isn't their only health benefit. 🌱

Prunes are actually dried plums, and are an excellent source of fibre, potassium and vitamin k, are a good source of copper and manganese and are rich in health giving antioxidants. 🌱
.
I often soak them in my overnight oats and love the rich colour and flavour they impart throughout my breakfast. 🌱

Pictured is my breakfast which was soaked overnight to produce a creamy bowl of nutrient dense oats this morning. 🌱

I am sharing the actual recipe I used with you, but feel free to play around with quantities to suit your own taste. 🌱

Overnight Oats with Prunes
.
Serves 2
.
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of almond milk 
5-6 chopped prunes (pitted)
1 small grated Apple
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tbsp pure maple syrup .
Combine all ingredients in a jar, place on the lid and give the jar a gentle shake to blend. Place the jar in the fridge overnight.

In the morning, you can either eat the deliciousness straight from the jar, or pour it into a bowl and sprinkle with walnuts, which is what I do. .

❌Because most pictures you see on Instagram, advising you what to eat, how to lose weight or god knows what else, forget one very simple important thing : we are all different. 
Meaning, what I can eat to function optimally won't be the same as you.
I don't digest neither greek yogurt, brocoli, chickpeas, nor apples. This was like a curse to me at first because I love of all of these foods. But trust me, given how poor I am after eating them, I learned to focus on the foods my body tolerates. 
Which includes pastas, chocolate, toast, and cereals. This is why you can see these foods on my feed. Someone might think "Lol, she's supposed to eat healthy but she's eating chocolate" - WELL MY FWIEND, this is what being healthy means. 
Eating what you fit your needs, your tastes, and your body. 
And for that, no picture can make it up for you ☝🏼❤️
