My favorite window in the house. This ledge, at the head of my bathtub (my sanctuary) has so much sentiment all in one lil happy place. From left to right... The glass bowl with a succulent was once on our wedding table with blue glass & floating candles (which were really “in” in 2001, I promise!) so it reminds me of our wedding day. The cross hung in our home in Harlingen before we moved to the Houston area. It’s where we lived for the first 16 years of our marriage so it reminds me of “home.” The sign was made by @deerwoodparkln my BFF of 24 years & is my most treasured sign ever. The words are from a song by @bethelmusic (@steffanydawn) & says “I was made for this... to bring You glory, to tell Your story.” Because sometimes we need that reminder that we are here for purpose, His purpose, His glory. And while our story may not be easy, there is glory in our story. She made this for me after a long period of me being still & wondering what I was made for. But I was made for this. Just this. right here. And I’m learning to soak in that. The present. The little white candle is leftover from the pack of candles we lit when my 4th baby was born at home in the bathtub. It reminds me I’m a rockstar (hah) & makes me smile thinking of my babies. The candlestick was a wedding gift and is one of those symbols I remember for every anniversary or romantic dinner with my husband-that’s the only time it gets lit! The rocks are from the top of a mountain I climbed after being very sick for 8 months. Unable to eat, unable to walk without pain, as soon as I could get up, I arose and surprised my hubby with a little secret trip. And we climbed a mountain. Those are my victory rocks. The silver vase has held many dried flowers from my husband & kids-peach roses, being my favorite. But for now the succulents are the stars of the ledge. These were my first purchase for our new place in Houston. With the new beginning I needed to see Life grow here. It daily has given me reassurance that in the best days & hard days we will thrive, not just survive. The freeze was a bit hard on them but they keep fighting. And so do I. Find a ledge. Make it your own. You were made for this.
Time to test out the Christmas present I got from my brother! A cute little greenhouse from Elho and a little container from Hema filled with cactus seeds from Ebay. Fingers crossed the cacti will pop up🤞🌵
Lembram daquele cacto lindão? Deu ruim... Não sei se ele estranhou o vento da rua ou se ele não gostou de receber água 1x por semana! Tem uns dias que ele tá assim! 😣 Suspendi a água e tenho deixado ele no sol. A raiz não está podre... Alguém me socorre?!
