Good morning Stockton! It's time for this weekend's Guest Instagrammer takeover. Each weekend, we hand-pick Instagrammers to share their Stockton Story. Please give a warm welcome to Hernando Solo (@gottanikoncamera).
Hello IG Stockton! My name is Hernando and I've lived in Stockton for 11 years. When I'm not assembling mission teams and working to get them funded, I like to explore Stockton and its environs with my pittie and #1 photo assistant, Athena. We especially enjoy places with history and a story, and I preserve a lot of them on film, because film endures. A few months ago, I was bitten by the filmmaking bug and one day would like to extend my project of preserving Stockton to include 16mm movie film. After all, Stockton is a beautiful place and deserves to be preserved in a medium that endures.
Ferris Bueller said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." I've been trying to live by this, to s-l-o-w down and look around and this weekend, I hope you'll slow down and look around with me. Are you ready?

Here's a shot I took of Ang while on the west coast tour this past summer. We were driving through beautiful rolling hills in California and decided to stop for in impromptu shoot. We had to hop a barbed wire fence, dodge cow patties and trespass, but what's life without a little excitement?
"Moonlit Yosemite Valley"
The bright, waning gibbous moon illuminates the smoke-filled Yosemite Valley. On close inspection you can see the headlamps of rock climbers making their way up the face of El Capitan.
