B A C K T O S C H O O L When I was in high school, I didn't mind school as I had a bunch of awesome friends. When I started teaching, I was eager to go back to school to see my lil kiddos, and that's how I knew I was doing what I loved! Last year, I quit my full time teaching job to go back to school, and my lil 4-year-olds were bewildered when I told them that I was going to a school for adults to learn 😂#cb_backtoschool#calligrabasics#calligrafriends#brushlettering
I love getting to design custom orders that have a special meaning to the client. Especially when it's a favorite Bible verse. I'm such a firm believer in filling your home with things that encourage and challenge you. And scripture is exactly that! 🌿

You don’t wanna have FOMO when they’re almost gone! 😂😂😂😂
Even though it doesn't feel like progress when we're in the middle of the struggle. But you know the feeling when you look back and see how far you've come? It feels so good. Just keep going!
See my last post for the process video.

Some days I feel like my job as a letterer is all about problem-solving...figuring out where each line of writing should begin, making sure everything is balanced and harmonious, deciding which spaces to fill and which to leave untouched. Some pieces only require a couple of drafts; others, like this one, go through 7 or 8. It's definitely a frustrating process at times, but when it all starts to come together and you see the pieces fall into place...oh man, there's no better feeling! ❤ #wip#pencillettering#pencilcalligraphy

Thanks @miasaidno for snapping a photo of your lil' cutie, Vada, sporting my Empowered Women Empower Women Tee. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this tee will be donated to @girlsinc . Happy first day of fall everyone!
I was full of excitement when this arrived from @lovegiveink in London! We finally have a beautiful personalised album with our names to put all these moments that we have collected over the years. I have been experimenting with DSLR for a few years now particularly portraits. If you are wondering, these shots are taken on our own, with the tripod is often our best dummy cameraman, not to mention how many takes we have to attempt in order to get the right focus and poses.
Wanna see how we look like 25 years ago? 😏 Head over to my IG story.
This quickie simply doesn't do justice to one of the seminal books and authors of my childhood.
I can't count how many afternoons I spent in my grandmas sunroom immersed in this magical world.
