Outside lettering ❄
I’m looking back at my half-century of instaposts (horizontally, as I’ve done my back in..) and found this video which claims to have been viewed 2.3 million times. We love a bit of circularity. It’s a natural consequence of living and being: apply a force to a thing and it starts to go round; in this universe, at least. Perhaps something about the art of the circle keeps us minded of how utterly we belong here: we were built for this and only this existence. Or do we just like to see someone writing on a plate?
What do you think of this?🤔

Hard to believe 2017 is coming to an end. Looks like my most popular post this year was from @36daysoftype , when I was first starting to practice painting on glass. Each post challenged me to develope better brush control, and helped prepare me to work on more involved paintings. It turns out, 36 days of Type started right after learning techniques from @mikemeyersignpainter workshop! The practice following a workshop is what really sets the ideas and techniques into stone.
