Being officially diagnosed with celiac and candida was just that...a diagnosis. I already knew my body wasn't operating properly. I just didn't know what was wrong and doctors would just tell me that I had IBS and to take medication. I knew that wasn't the case. There was more! Plus, I've never been the kind to just use a bandaid solution. I want to know what the problem is and create a REAL solution! The correct solution. So while I always knew it was weird to have "stomach issues" I also sorta accepted it. For as long as I can remember my life has revolved around knowing when I was going to eat and how near the cleanest restroom was. Because eating and running to use the toilet 🚽 went hand in hand (TMI😬) . In fact it has long been a joke between me and my sister that we know where all the clean restrooms are pretty much anywhere we have lived or traveled. We got home from a #mountain bike race in #austin a few weeks ago and were starving. I'd run out of healthy snacksin the car 😱 and we were low on groceries. I whipped us up this quick salad to snack on while I made dinner (forgot to photograph dinner). It was arugula, sliced mini bell peppers, @traderjoes freeze dried blueberries, shaved parm cheese, and dressing was olive oil and salt and pepper. A few weeks ago we traveled to #NewOrleans for Halloween. I was quite a bit worried about what I would eat considering it's all still new to me! I allowed myself some room with the strict candida diet but stuck to gluten free. Unfortunately, I am not a big seafood 🍤eater so I had to stick to beans and steaks and veggies🥕🥒🍅. However, we did find this great place called Meals From The Heart in the #frenchquarter that I ended up eating at THREE times! This is the grilled veggies and Caribbean rice dish with gluten free bread and black bean patty. It was so fresh and tasty. My boyfriend ended up eating a few of their other dishes and finished my left overs! I highly suggest this place for quick yummy meals in #NOLA . Quick and easy salad 🥗 stick the salmon in the oven for 25 minutes wrapped in foil with some seasoning. For the salad bowl add 1 Avocado 🥑 handful of cherry tomatoes 🍅 handful of lettuce and spinach and some edamame beans 🥒 all with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of olive oil 💪🏻 another yeast, dairy and sugar free easy to make meal 🥘

Soup for Lunch: Roasted Broccoli:
Roast broccoli in the oven with olive oil, lemon, and salt. Add roasted broccoli and 1 mason jar of beef stock to a pot and heat. When broccoli is soft, put broccoli and stock in a blender and blend. Serve!
Soup for Dinner: Beef & Carrot-Bok Choy-Onion:
Chop Bok Choy, onion, carrot and put in pot with 1 mason jar of beef stock and 1/2 cup chopped meat from the soup bones. Heat with salt and white pepper and serve. This was a delicious combo. I was so excited to eat I forgot to get a photo! 🤦🏻♀️

Chocolate Banana Maple Vegan Paleo Protein Muffins 🍫🍌
Celebrating my shorter work day with a delicious kitchen experiment. Sometimes I just throw a bunch of random things together and hope and works...and wow this one came out AMAZING 🤤
✖️1 can of white beans .
✖️1/4c of @simplemills #paleo chocolate cake and muffin almond flour mix .
✖️2T of @traderjoes raw creamy almond butter .
✖️1 scoop of @highperformancenutrition vegan banana maple French toast protein powder (use “abv” for a discount)
✖️1/3c cashew milk .
✖️1tsp baking powder and 1/2tsp baking soda .
👉🏻Add everything to a food processor, top with @enjoylifefoods #vegan chocolate chips, and bake for 15 minutes at 350. (Let these cool for at least 20-30min or they will be too gooey!) .
🔥Macros/muffin: 105cal 13C/3F/8P sugar: 1.9g (recipe makes 8)
🚫WARNING: these are addicting....somehow managed to eat 3 within the 5 minutes of taking this picture and typing out this caption. Also highly recommend making an almond butter sandwich, because everything is better with nut buttttah 🤤
The last 24 hours have been crazy. 😳I had a doctor appointment yesterday afternoon, which concluded in my primary care regular old conventional doctor wanting to do all the tests I've been wanting to do for MONTHS. It was a huge praise! The more amazing thing is that I was able to do ALL. OF. THEM. this morning in like less than 2 hours. 🙌🏻 I don't have any results yet, but hopefully once they come back in a few days we will have some answers or at least be getting closer to some answers. In the meantime I'm super grateful! 💗✨And hooray for more blood work! 🙈👊🏻

Kinou isprati i skuvati (na 100g kinoe duplo više vode). Ocediti i ostaviti sa strane da se prohladi. Laneno seme samleti. U većoj posudi izmešati suve sastojke: speltino brašno, lan, chia semenke i so. Dodati vodu i ulje i dobro promešati. Na kraju dodati kinou.
Na pleh za pečenje staviti pek papir i masu razvući kašikom na debljinu od oko 4-5 mm, iceći na željeni oblik.
Peći u zagrejanoj rerni na 180ºC nekih 25-30 minuta.

.Liver problems -amongst people my age- is normally associated with alcohol consumption. So sometimes coming out about being sick gives people the insinuation that I drank my liver to death...anyone that knows me well would know that while I can drink a lot of alcohol, I don't drink very often and I never get drunk. While alcohol may have been a factor, my biggest contributors to my health issues are poor diet and lack of rest.
. I used to think that living a super healthy lifestyle was a choice for people who had the time. I used to think, "I'm young now, I'll just take care of myself when I am older." Ha. I'm in my early twenties and I have to put in more effort to take care of myself now than some of my 40+ year old co-workers.
