My 11's are little nervous Nelly's this morning. Today is their big math test and they woke up with anxiety in their bones. We decided it was best to skip the bus and spend the extra time eating cider donuts and breathing in the crisp autumn air. With essential oils seeping through their soft skin they are now relaxed and ready to take on those word problems. ✨🎃🍂
Ola Insta! Happy Tuesday to All!⛅️About to head out but before I do, I figured I’d share this picture in honour of “Throwback Tuesday”..
Our youngest couldn’t fall asleep 😴 a few weeks ago & Hubby sang countless lullabies ( unsuccessfully btw..🙈) then resorted to reading 📖 part of his technical report in form of a song 🎶🤣🙈🖐🏽 💯😍... He could’ve just played something else...Why did I never ever think about it? Men definitely think differently than women & No, I’m not complaining about that.Au contraire!👌🏽Did it work? Yesss! Will I ever sing 🎤 any kind of report to my kid to make him sleep? Probably never but to each their own.😂 Kuddos to all the “creative” fathers & husbands out there.. Mine has already read a cookbook recipe & now part of his report to our kids in an attempt to make them sleep. The future knows what’s in store next!?! Can you relate to this? What’s the most random thing or strategy you’ve used to make your baby or a child sleep? Please share below if you can & have a terrific Tuesday! Time for ☕️😉..Love & Blessings! 🌬💖💛❤️💚💙💜🙏🏽✨
Oh, hello Fall! 🍁🍂 Yesterday we played on our little balcony for a bit exploring leaves and discovering how they smell, feel & tear apart. I love this toddler stage of new discovery and curiosity - it’s so sweet to just sit and watch them figure things out with their tiny, chubby fingers.
The flu took out almost everyone in the house this week so it was all about rest, tea and takeout for dinners, because who has time to cook when you’re feeling so crummy?? But what definitely does not suck is getting 5x the points with the new @AmericanExpress Canada #AmexCobalt Card on eating out and delivery! 🙌🏼 so now when Michael complains about how I didn’t cook I have an awesome excuse! #youdoyou#ad
Today is my day off work and little man announced he had a tummy ache this morning and so couldn’t go to school, which means I’m trying to find ways for him to entertain himself while I do a bit of blog & life admin.
Rather fittingly, the blog post I was planning to write today was all about ‘things working mums want their childfree colleagues to know’ and one of them was that the days off we have if we work part time are not spent watching Phil & Holly while painting our nails, but are often harder work than our working days!
If you are, or have been, a working mum, tell me what you would like your childfree colleagues to know (and I’ll credit you in the post!)
