Overhead diffusion. So many options. How to choose? Choosing a rag that's too heavy outdoors may not match your background and look unnatural. Choosing something too light may be too harsh and create unwanted shadows depending on the angle of the sun. General rule of thumb is to place your subject backlit, choose an overhead layer that's flattering while also matching your background exposures and frontal fill with either a bounce or light source. Personally my overheads of choice are hi lite and 1/4 silent sail. #lightingandgrip#setlife#keygrip#gaffer#behindthescenes#gripology#gripalicious#canvasgrip normsstudio #mathewsstudioequipment#cinematography
