Minus the fact that it’s mid week, and this month is always over, like where’d it go? Here’s a little new and improved recipe 😍
I had so much fun making it... I ate the batter too 🤷🏻♀️and it’s pretty simple. I seem to run around often and don’t have to time most days to sit and eat.. so I cut these bite sized (bigger than big sized) lol so I can pop one in my mouth between patients 👌🏻🤣 •
FOR THE BROWNIES
500g of sweet potatoes (about 2 medium)
12 medjool dates
30g Chocolate protein powder (I used @wazoogles chocolate moondust)
6 tblsp maple syrup
100g almond flour (I used @crede_natural_oils almond flour)
2 tblsp of melted coconut oil (@crede_natural_oils)
a pinch of salt
100g of ground oats(made my own got the oats from @wellnesswarehouse)
6 tblsp cacao powder (@soaringfreesuperfoods)
100 ml Almond Milk (@almondbreezeza)
1 tspn baking powder
FOR THE ICING
2 tblsp of coconut oil (@crede_natural_oils)
2 tblsp of almond butter @ohmega_nutbutters
1 tblsp of maple syrup
2 tblsp of cacao powder
Handful of mixed seeds @bynature_sa
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Steam sweet potato ( you can leave the peel on but rinse thoroughly)
3. Pop that and the rest of the wet ingredients into you bullet.
4. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
5. Add in wet ingredients.
6. Mix until combined.
7. Grease your pan (you can make mini muffins from this as well)
8. Spread evenly and bake for approximately 30min (NB everyone’s oven is different so monitor)
1. Mix all icing ingredients in a bowl.
I was hasty and didn’t let the brownie cool before putting the icing on 🤷🏻♀️🤣 but wait a bit and drizzle with icing and top with whatever you want
Ethiopia's coffee ceremony is an integral part of Ethiopian culture. We feel extremely honoured to be here today because an invitation to attend a coffee ceremony is considered a mark of friendship and respect. It s an excellent example of incredible Ethiopian hospitality.
Coffee is wildly grown in Ethiopia which makes the flavour profile extremely diverse. Ethiopian coffee tastes complex, fruity and floral and it has a very strong, fragrant-rich and full-bodied flavor profile. 👌
Don't miss out and experience this amazing ritual at The Pan African Market at Abyssinia, Cape Town's latest Ethiopian restaurant ☕💛
Hello fam 👋🏻 •
Experimented with an activated charcoal smoothie bowl this morning... and my oh my 😍😍😍 no jokes though, it was incredible! •
There’s a lot of New Years resolutions, tips to starting your days right, and so much more out there right now... so I won’t plague you too🙈 but here’s a little food for thought: EVERYONES DAILY ROUTINES ARE DIFFERENT, AND SOMETIMES CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAD PLANNED... REMEMBER: •whatever you achieved in the day is still a success and a tick off that list •don’t overwork yourself, but work hard •take/do one thing at a time (you’re only human) •find joy in the little pleasures in life (whether it be binge watching series or buying that ice cream cone) •

Why is Kingklip such a South African favourite?
Sweet, meaty flavour?
The raw flesh of the Kingklip varies from a pearly white to a delicate rose colour, and cooks to a perfect milky white. When cooked, the fillets are firm and flake beautifully.
And that is why Kingklip is an integral part of our menu.
You can enjoy our Kingklip Den Anker, Kingklip Mousseline or our Kingklip Sauce au Safron
The most important ingredient when cooking. How to salt food is one of the most important things you learn.
Salt in cooking brings out the flavour of food. It takes a simple ingredient and brings out its natural essence.
