In the interest of transparency, here's some real truth for you 👆🏻 this is not a #transformationtuesday post, though it may look like one, because the truth is my body fluctuates between these two states pretty regularly. Competing at a body weight of 105lbs is and was a HUGE challenge for me. I can sit anywhere from 108 to 121lbs depending on how I'm feeling, and if I decide to stick to my diet. I won't get into the dirty details but I think most of us can relate to loving ice cream a little too much 😋🍦 (team human stand up!) The point of this post is because some people seem to think that being 105lbs is easy for me, and that I shouldn't be discouraged about anything because im 100lbs. Well that's false. It's extremely difficult for me and I have experienced first hand the struggle of cutting well over 10% of my body weight for a meet...and dieting until it makes you crazy. I get it. But I have goals, really big goals, and if it takes eating my body weight in broccoli to get there, then I'll be glad to do it 💪🏻👊🏻🥒🥗
Sometimes to realize how far you've come, you have to take a look back. ✨✨
I think I was like most of us are at SOME point in our life....living my life one day at a time, not really thinking about how little decisions add up.
I was just so DETACHED from seeing how 3 beers here, 2 slices of pizza there, maple donuts and Mountain Dew...truly add up after a while.
I felt like I was a lost cause and had NO idea where to ever START.
But I never realized how easy it could be to make the RIGHT CHOICES one day at a time until I FOUND something that made it easy on me.
The key???? SUPPORT 👬👭👫
Okay okay, and like a beyond easy plan that took out all the guesswork for me and kicked those old habits (and BABY WEIGHT x2 👧🏼👦🏼) to the curb.
Maybe you've been watching me for a while, hesitant to reach out. Or maybe you've been watching and thought I just shared my sweaty selfies for the heck of it 😜
Well here is the OPEN DOOR for you!!!! Staying on track is hard in the summer and I am looking for some new accountability buddies to jump ALL IN for our (virtual) fit challenge group kicking off next month.
If you're feeling lost like I was, drop a "MY TURN!" below and we can chat. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
full back workout from this morning ‼️
✨ 4x12 barbell rows
✨ 4x12 close grip lat pull down (3 count down & 3 count up)
✨ 4x12 each side DB rows
✨ 4x12 rope pull downs ✨ 4x12 each side single arm cable rows
✨ 3x15 hyperextensions
very simple exercises today, but I focused more on form & tempo as opposed to moving weight 😊 my biceps tend to try to take over during certain exercises so by slowing movements down, I can better isolate my back & therefore having a more effective workout. give dis lift a try and lemme know if ya like it!
went back later today for round two to do LISS (low-intensity steady state cardio). right now I'm doing LISS two times a week & HIIT 2 times a week as well 💦 cardio is a great tool for fat/weight loss but you should not solely depend on it!!! nutrition also plays a huge role in it so make sure you're paying attention to what/how much you're eating 🙆🏼
about to go get readjusted & then come back and make my @pescience protein ice cream to finish my macros 😍 happy Tuesday frandsssss 😇
Want to succeed in your health and fitness journey?
Mindset is everything. People often confuse mindset with motivation. Motivation will NEVER last we use motivation to start but habits and mindset keep you going daily. Mindset means ignoring that little voice of hesitation and doubt and just getting it done.
Don't hesitate... EXECUTE. Action must be taken for change to happen.
