We came across an extremely poor stucco job on this deck project. The house had its stucco re-done, and the crew neglected to use any sort of flashing or stucco-stop. They just trowelled it right on to the deck boards. So what we did to make things right, was cut the stucco back, install two layers of tvyek underneath the existing building paper, g-tape'd the joints, caulked in between the stucco and paper, and installed a reverse drip cap. Once the ledgerboard was installed we added a 4"x4" galvanized steel flashing as well. This will properly divert water away from the house. Definitely disappointing to see such a lack of quality in some people's work. #tarahillconstruction#deckbuilder#customdecks#quality#framer#carpentry
This house belongs to a gentleman by the name of Paul. Paul has been a friend/mentor since I stared being paid for swinging a hammer over 11 years ago. He has been working on this house and property for years. This wild looking hexagon addition used to be a dome when he bought the house. We stopped by to help him set windows in the walls that will someday be his new kitchen. I could take tons of pictures and probably write a small novel on the wild and somewhat backwards ways he has been renovating this house. But for now this is what you get. It's crazy to me that he has achieved such a high level of quality through his patience and hard work with this place! #vermontbyvermonters#vtcarpentry#carpenter#remodeler#remodeling#thisiscarpentry#buildlocal#builder#carpentry#renovations#keepcraftalive#respect
Ever wonder how our hollow fireplace mantels are made? A lot of precision goes into cutting one of our barn beams into pieces and then fitting it back together like nothing ever happened. Stay tuned for the finished piece!
This was during the demo phase of the previous chain link fence. We had to get rid of it to dig the holes for the PVC posts for our privacy fence install we started today.
We used our @dewalttough recip saw and some @diablo_tools Steel Demon 6" metal cutting blades to make quick work of the poles of that old fence. Then we just unweaved the chain link to separate it where we needed to.
Just completed an Interior Finishing and Trim course at @SAIT! Excited to apply new learnt techniques to the residential side of One Love Painting. 👇🏾#NoMickeyMouse

I was checking on out our commercial project in downtown Santa Ana and saw this place. @americanbarbershop_official I needed a trim any way so I stopped by. This place is awesome. Old school barbershop. Trimmed my neck with a straight razor and a moose head on the walls. Yes!! #barbershop
🎶😎🎶 This groove is perfect for how I'm feeling right now to be at this stage with these 4 boards! As you may know this is my first go at making cutting boards. I'm no @thetimberedwolf or @fixthisbuildthat on the complications of the end grain, but I am pushing myself to try new techniques and species. (#purpleheart#walnut#padauk#maple#sepele#cherry ) They also served as my mental break from the console I was working on. 😆 Which of these is your favorite?
