We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is external. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.
The Famous #Gavelys ! I met Gavelys in October of 2014. She took me to church (no joke). She's one of the artisans whose work we'll be supporting and sharing with you on our trip in August. She makes bags in the style of the #kankuamo - the indigenous culture to which she pertains. On the streets of #ElCentro you'll see lots of brightly colored bags that sell for much more, but are not handmade by a woman who was displaced to the big city and has been hustling per diem with her craft for over a decade. We'll share more about Gavelys (and her family) on the site in months to come.
This kind of collaboration is what led us to hit it off with @thejourneymenexchange - check out their feed and #DigitalOfferings if you have a chance! They are good eggs.

Cheers to a beautiful city filled with friendly people! Colombia is insanely beautiful and a must-see, don't be put off by all those Pablo Escobar documentaries! It is a super sweat-inducing (seriously sweated out more than a sauna) beautiful city. This negroni was made with Colombian love and tasted incredible.
I have not used this much Spanish in a long long long time and it reminds me why traveling and immersing yourself in an amazing culture is so important. Doesn't hurt that this is a World Heritage Site either with the beautiful walled city. Mixing modern and old with this rooftop pool. Stay at Casa Clavers if you are ever in the area! It is in el centro de turismo.
