Will we choose to save our wilderness?
I walk through these mountains and savor every moment of this luscious paradise. Alpine meadow, heather, rock and ice. The quiet meditation of moving in the mountains restores my soul. I am not alone. We need our wild places. We know this on the deepest level of our being. We must pay attention. To protect our spirits' refuge, for even just to know it is there, is to live with a quiet hope.
Took advantage of the beautiful day to do some hiking at Starved Rock. With this handy backpack we've been able to bring Bo on quite a few adventures this past year. Love getting to make these memories with this little guy!
My favorite time of day is when our mountains fade into the sky like funky clouds on the horizon
PS: trying to find a last minute way down to the eclipse rn. If any of y'all have a free spot, I have a tent and a hammock and a uke and can bake you cookies
