I have a confession to make. Autumn is always a bit harsh on me. It's my Birthday in October, Halloween shortly after that, Christmas that makes me feel as sad as ever and New Years Eve which sends me straight into "OMG another year is gone". I need to be extra resilient and kind to myself this time of the year.
Christmas can be hard on those with #anxiety , personal issues or those who, as migrants, are not sure where home is anymore. Hey, I tick all the boxes. Do I win any rewards? 😑
London makes it even harder, as that one day is expanded and multiplied by 60 and lasts 2 months. 2 months? Are you crazy? Whaaat? 🙈
How do we deal with it? I have no magic formula. I keep myself busy with what I love (work, books, new creative projects and nice food, mostly), but also try to slow down and acknowledge my feelings.
If you struggle to feel festive most people won't get it, but there are no wrong or right feelings. We feel what we feel and we need to work around that.
I also do #catsitting . Cats are the best. There is something deeply therapeutic about talking to a cat. They don't care, but they can't tell you. ❤
What about you? Do you love this time of the year or you wish it was January already? How do you deal with it?
Todos sabemos que algún día nuestros gatos dominaran el mundo como ya lo hicieron los delfines en un capitulo de los Simpson 😂😂. •
Muy buenas tardes de Jueves, amigos gatunos 😊
