Autumn grasses 🌾🍂🌤 I love these wild grasslands. I believe this is what’s called Indian Grass and it’s gorgeous this time of year. 😍 Changing colors isn’t the only thing grasses and trees have in common. Grasses are also really efficient at cleaning our atmosphere of pollutants, just like trees. That’s why cattle grazed on well managed grass are actually great for the environment ❤️ These Kansas prairies were created for large grazers 🌾🐃 #farmlifebalance#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Would you believe me if I said the reason my husband and I met was this bull? Well this bull and another one that my father out bid my future husband on at a different sale (that’s whole nother story). None the less 4168 still played a role and because so, he holds a special little place in my heart. Quite the romancer he is 💏
Oldie but goodie ❤️ This was taken (by @hmcustomleather) a little over a year ago for a interview by Steve Suther for Certified Angus Beef @blackinkbasics .
I love this picture and the video they created (link in profile) Of course we come off looking like much better ranchers than we are in real life 🤣 But that’s probably why I like it so much ❤️ #farmlifebalance#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
oh my these family photos are just the dreamiest. we walked around their cattle ranch & captured the sweetest of moments. i am so excited to partner with this awesome family to shoot more photos up there, it’s such a gem. ✨🌿
Wow. Another amazing experience with @out_inthefield with my family and friends in northern California! @stemplecreek was so picaresque. Special thanks to @ldjcoolio and @colindorwart for outstanding service and to Chris from @grosventrewines for sharing our table and teaching us about his #wine . #farmdinner#farmtotable#norcal#cattleranch

One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books. #farmlifebalance#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Following these ladies into the weekend like ❄️🙅🏽
The snow is still on the ground, which means we are feeding hay about 3 weeks earlier than planned. While our husbands are out schlepping bales, we'll be here waiting for our @kingofchristmas tree to arrive 🙌 🎄
Check out our insta story to see the MT way to pull a sled through some snow ;) ❄️❄️ And if you feel like sharing let us know what you’re up to this weekend :)
Hey guys! Do you know the story behind @thesurfandturfsanctuary ? Jen and Tray underwent an amazing life transformation to become vegan and run a sanctuary. Please help me help them by buying our Gifts that Give Back to @thesurfandturfsanctuary We have candles, mugs, jewelry, vegan bags and more! 💕🙏🏼🌱 Repost from @compassion_cult using @RepostRegramApp - Bit late on this but clear #VeganVictory for sure 😊💖 ➡FOLLOW➡ @thesurfandturfsanctuary
Former #Beef#Farmers , Jen and Tray are now turning their property into an #AnimalSanctuary .
Owners Jen and Tray Federici operated a small beef #CattleRanch and despite trying to be very selective about who they sold their cows to, as they always wanted the best for them, the couple was caught in a #MoralConflict .
How could they be animals lovers and still send cows to #Slaughter ?
That’s when they decided to only eat #Meat if they slaughtered the animals themselves. Still, they couldn’t find a resolution and were unable to cope with #killing an older cow they had selected.
That’s when Jen and Tray decided to swear off meat and have turned their 100-acre ranch into a paradise for animals called the #SurfAndTurfSanctuary . "Animals are amazing soulful creatures. They are all different and have unique personalities. They are intelligent, nurturing, loving, and downright funny. They feel pain, loss, sadness, compassion, and even grieve the loss of another animal or family member"
