We are currently remodeling our 1960’s ranch style home. Our idea for the outside was mid century so the cedar siding went up! I am loving it so far. I used timber oil in “natural” for the siding and it gave the cedar a beautiful golden hue with a satin finish. I was having trouble deciding on a color for the front door but then decided it should be @generalfinishes gel stain in “Georgian cherry”. This project is not finished just yet but it’s really close!! I am thinking about doing a YouTube video staining the rest of the door.... @cabotstain #cedar#midcentury#ranchstyle#houseremodel#trufurnitureyoutube#oregoncoast#cedarsiding#reddoor#mahoganydoor#fiberglassdoors
I think I’ll call this series “late night rainy overtired home building tips”. “Tip 1: the top row of siding.” And the siding is officially done. Just a couple minor exterior details left before I’ll allow winter to happen. #vanddition2017#cedarsiding
I know I post pictures of this building like we built it yesterday, but this is my proudest business accomplishment to date - huge job for a two man crew, and although we had help along the way, it's amazing to think that we put this together. What an amazing space, amazing view, and even more amazing customers 😉! I would love to do more projects like this in the future, we are always improving, learning, using new materials and products to help us become more efficient and still put out high quality work. The grand opening of this building is coming up soon, give @blackhorseyogastudio a follow and find out all of the details - or even head down and take a tour. Amazing finish work on the interior and exterior and beautiful view, plus you can take a yoga class from the best around! #ericloitschconstruction#keepcraftalive#makecraftsmanshipgreatagain#customhome#customconstruction#newhomes#carpentry#zipwall#zipsystem#andersonwindows#cedarsiding
Although Veterans Day is officially tomorrow. This #FrontDoorFriday feature has special meaning. My husband was in the Navy many years ago. He took me to the place where he lived in Newport, RI while serving in the military. Thank you too him and to all who have served🇺🇸. #Veteransday#AskAisha#RealtorChick
We are pumped to have one of our homes featured in @dwellmagazine Check out the May2015 issue to see more! We love our modern homes. What a challenge to build but so cool. ⚒⚒. Incredible design work by @in_situ_studio, super creative customer 🙋🏻♂️🙋. photography by @richardleojohnson #johncsandersandcompany
Set in a classic Jersey Shore town with a collection of quirky shops and restaurants to compliment an even quirkier collection of houses, the area surrounding this modern retreat by Jeff Jordan Architects has no shortage of charm. 📷 Gregory Maka
The case of the vanishing wall unit! Where'd it go?! To the scrapyard, what a hunk of junk! Two of these to do today but the rain kept me from getting it done! It's amazing how badly these are usually installed. Phone died otherwise I'd show you the 3 types of drywall screws they used to hold the cedar shingles on around the other one! #atlasmetals#carpentry#cedarsiding#wallunit#deleted#drywallscrewsarefordrywall
A different angle of the Terrace Room at French Creek Golf Club- this time with the glass wall open. Each panel unlocks and slides on a track into the beadboard closet shown in the far corner of the room. This allows for an incredible setting when the weather is good. We may or may not be looking to use these in some homes soon... Architectural design by Mark C Myers; photography by Gifford Images
Perfect miter cuts on tongue and groove cedar siding corner with 1/4 inch reveal? No way to hide errors behind corner trim!? Not a jot of putty cover up needed!? No problem for John Lancaster of Oakland CA. I was just on the oil staining support team. Impressive stuff, John! #carpentery
Take a look at this job we completed earlier in the year.
The first two photos are before photos and the last two photos show this beautiful home after we installed cedar impressions siding! What a beautiful transformation!
Not only did this siding preserve the character of this home, it will handle everything this New England weather can throw at it!
We are blessed with such wonderful customers. Thank you.
When I bought our 37 year old house, I later found a bunch of leftover cedar siding boards, most of them 16-20ft long. I hung onto them and now I’m using them on the only new wall facing the street so the siding is a perfect match. Cedar really lasts, it’s just as nice as the new stuff! #vanddition2017#cedarsiding#siding#addition
