So I tried some cel shading for the first time. It's a bit sloppy, practice makes perfect though 😄
Perspective is still in the works.
On the side note, still working on my own style.
Now I don’t usually watch anime, I had a spell of it and watched a few I liked. This anime was a lot better than I expected. Devilman Crybaby really brought back nostalgia from when I watched the original Devilman. The animation style was interesting and was consistent. Yes the running scene made me wheeze for about twenty days but the best part was probably any time Akira yelled “I’m devilman” I think I’ve said that about a hundred times already. It was good though, and I dare say I enjoyed all of it. Akira’s butt chin still scares me. So here’s a doodle of Akira the crybaby himself.
Trying something new xD
A Woman with very voluminous red hair ^^
Omg I Love cell shading! I have to practice it OF COURSE! :D (I am still not sure where to put the Shadows exactly but I'll figure something out :D Next time it will be better 😅)
I'm Always avoiding digital (even tho I Love digital art!) because of the Inking ... uhrg ...
But today I just tried a lot of different Things while searching for multipy (and I found auch cool futures *-* ... and yes ... Until now I didn't know where it was ... 😥 Never used multipy before)
The reason why I wanted to try cell shading is because I started watching a Lot of @lavendertowne Videos and I seriously love how she draws *-*
Here's my process of how I do stuff I guess . It may only be like 10 seconds long , but usually my artwork takes an hour-2 hours. It's not really ever the time it takes, but more lIke the effort and motivation. But yeah here is how I do stuff .
This can be digital, or traditional.
I use a bright color so when pt. 2 comes along I have an easier time with it .
Usualy this is the easiest part of it . It's pretty straight-forward. Just using the fill bucket and coloring everything accordingly
4. Lining(pt. 2)
This is the more time consuming part. I make a completely black layer and change the opacity to 30%, select the blue lining and switch back and forth when I need to change it. It's really an annoying process that looks really nice in the end, but not alot of people like it too much .
Shading is also annoying. I'm pretty sure it's cell shading , if you're wondering how to do it. There are multiple tutorials on YouTube on how to do it.
6. Signature Really this is whatever the heck ya want . I usually put some type on there , but really whatever floats ya boat haha. -
