Taco Tuesday at Marston’s Bar & Grill is in full swing!
From 11:30AM-9PM, you can get their eclectic and unique taco options, along with Coronas, Pacifica’s, or Tequila for only $2.50 each!
I opted for a tasty trio of tacos including the Dirty Bird (pulled chicken, chorizo, bacon, Tandy BBQ sauce, & slaw,) the Western (ground beef, bacon, onions, shredded cheese, & BBQ sauce,) and the 3 Little Pigs (pulled pork, chorizo, bacon, BBQ sauce, & slaw.)
To drink I chose the complimentary soda water with lime, a great substitute for soda - none of the sugar or bad stuff, but still crisp & refreshing.
Total cost for this meal was $8.08.
I’m ready to exhale and start this new week. I’m looking back on one amazing trip to San Francisco. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Such an adorable store @lavishsf. I wanted every single thing 🙋🏼♀️
Normally when I create windows, I say less is more. But in this case, more is more 🎈✨ 🎀
Gus’s Grocery has has been moving, shaking, and sandwich-making for 28 years now! Located down the street from the San Luis Obispo train station, their sandwiches and wraps are beloved by locals and visitors alike!
Here you can customize your sandwich, opting for 1/2, regular, or “Bomber” size; or select a specialty sandwich, such as the Italiano, BLT&A, or Meat Lover’s BBQ’d Tri-Tip; or choose a pre-made wrap from the deli case.
I settled on a custom-made 1/2-size Turkey Wrap, loaded with Gus’ Vegi — avocado, tomato, herb cream cheese, cucumber, red onion, sprouts, lettuce, & Italian dressing — on a spinach tortilla! The total cost was only $7.95, and as you can see, the portion sizes are more-than-generous!
✨Insider’s Secret: Check-in & leave a review on Yelp for a free giant cookie, or check-in on Facebook for a free 20 oz fountain drink!

Elderflower soda with a splash of elderberry syrup 🥂 Served by @carmelberryco at the #bigsurforagersfestival . The elderflowers were foraged in hedgerows that farmers planted decades ago in Carmel Valley. These hedgerows now serve as living fences, natural habitats for pollinators 🐝, and great sources for feral food! Head over to our stories for more footage from the festival ☘️ #wildfoodlove
January always brings out my restlessness for spring and February blossoms on our coast. Diffusing a blend of Jasmine, Joy, and Orange this morning for those favorite floral hues. :) It’s about so much more than just smelling like fresh flowers in here...
. *Did you know our cells experience a completely different frequency when feeling joy vs. sadness, etc. You can even see it with the energy of a person when they walk into a room, when they’re bubbly and joyful - the whole room lights up and their cells are even operating in a different place. ☺️ Reminds me of Proverbs 17:22 wisdom ... “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” .
Some people much smarter than I am measured those specific cellular frequencies in tune with different emotions. Then they measured the frequencies of essential oils (which vary per oil) to MATCH what our cells experience with that positive emotion (hence the blend of Joy, for example!). Oils go to work to raise our bodies and cell's frequencies. Since oils also have some amazing constituents that reach our limbic system, deliver oxygen to our brain, clean receptor sites of cells, etc, they help us process our emotions in a healthy way. 🙌🏻
This has been my life motto for some time now. And it still holds true today. I have been through some years of court cases with my foster son and a year of cancer with my husband but through all of this pain and sorrow and heart break I still believe. I believe my Father in Heaven loves me. I believe that when I confess my sin I am forgiven. I believe that bad things happen to good people and my Lord and savior is present and available for me through it all. I believe I am stronger today than I was 2 years ago. I believe we go through hard stuff and it helps me be stronger and to have gratitude for what i have not jealous for what i don’t have. I am grateful for my family. I am grate for my children. I am grateful for my tribe of mommas of adoption who understand my life of giving. I love my hard earned life because it’s worth the effort. The people that God brought into my life to be my kids I am grateful for all of them. Good bad and ugly. They are all part of my story. #godisgoodallthetime#adoptionislove#centralcoastliving#parenting#fostermom

Do you rely on either these two to get you through the day? Both caffeine and alcohol can interfere with the production of cortisol. .
Cortisol levels should naturally be high in the morning at 8am. It’s our up and go! Essentially, our body is naturally caffeinating itself at this time. If you find you absolutely NEED that morning coffee everyday for energy, it may be disrupting your body’s natural cortisol schedule.
It may be time to reconsider what you are drinking (and eating) for sustenance throughout day ✨
